The film is well worth the 1/2 hour watching. Unfortun ately, all it does do is to confront us with our own impotence in the face of a rampantly tightening security state, with an unaccountable and opaque political executive that is gradually outlawing free speech and protest. What you missed that? Too busy watching "Big Brother" or "X Factor" were you? Too bad. You missed your last chance to wave goodbye to your freedoms, limited and crippled as they already were.
Unfortunately (again), history shows repeatedly that when peaceful means for protest and demanding governmental accountability are blocked, those who dissent from the official line will and do become increasingly more confrontational and even violent. Is this rapidly becoming the only form of protest available to the British people?
What do the British government moles on this IndyMedia board think? Do they have some suggested alternatives to bring this corrupt and non-transparent government to account for its dossier of lies, its heavy-handed (even shoot-to-kill) policies of dealing with trouble, its draconian laws of suppressing dissent, its dubious record of terror plots being foiled and even false flag ops? Do the moles here on IndyMedia - 'cos we know you are out there! - find their hearts and minds wavering at the work they are required to do to suppress a legitimate demand for accountability, maybe even consider that they are backing the ambitions of the wrong people? No ... too bad. I guess then our options for protest are getting more limited, and it will be up to us individually, and then collectively, to identify and define our own values and then to act in whatever way we see fit to bring about those changes that the government themselves so ardently resist.
