Operation HASH report back

Major Problem | 17.09.2006 14:58 | Climate Camp 2006 | Climate Chaos | Ecology

Report back from the Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army.
Phase One of Operation HASH (Helping all Smokers Halt) completed.

The clandestine insurgent rebel clown army left the camp at 0900 hours heading through the back field directly to drax. The planned operation, codenamed HASH (helping all smokers halt) was a simple plan, to enter drax and place a giant fossilette patch on Drax.

It has long been seen that the station at Drax has a major smoking problem Relentlessly chain smoking all hours of the day and night it is vital that Drax halts this vile habit. However Drax is not the only one to blame as the stress caused by the capitalist economic framework makes this vile addiction a necessity. Thus to demonstate this CIRCA planned to help with the giant
fossilette patch.

An attempt at stealth was made with the clowns lining up behind the patch quietly chanting "we're just a fossilette patch". It was at first successfull but soon other less jolly clowns in the area got wind of the plan and blocked our entry to Drax at a bridge.

They stated that they could stop us continuing our important mission as they had EVIDENCE to suggest we were going to commit a crime. Despite quickly hiding our three rung ladder ladder ladder we were sussed and they confiscated it, throwing our lunch in the water.

After splitting into 2 groups some of the clown party got very close to the fence of drax but were ordered to line up and escorted away by some lovely horses. They were informed that Drax would quit under his own will power and didn't need our help.

The second group of clowns entered the town and sucessfully charamed both locals and the media resulting in a favourable article in the gaurdian. Finally the two groups joyfully regrouped and after an unsuccessfull attempt at making a nuisence of ourselves on the main road we headed back to camp, not before the police conviscated the fossilette patch and smashed it up (refusing to give a recepit for conviscating the property). They did however help a few police vehicles quit their addiction with the help of small adhesive fossilette patches.

The clowns are disappointed that they were not able to assist offer Drax the asssistance needed to break the addiction to fossil fuels and hence they are keen to repeat Operation HASH until Drax and other poor chimneys out there have given up and moved on to more joyous pursuits.
