Prince Charles preaches religious tolerance in Pakistan, as the US destroys a religious school killing eighty innocent people.

The United States launched missiles from a Predator drone on a Madrassa in the Bajaur district of Pakistan. They claim it was an extrajudicial killing attempt on Ayman al Zawahiri, but they massacred over eighty young religious students instead, ranging from 15 to 25 years of age. Locals say none were militants.

The US has no authority under international law to launch attacks on sovereign Pakistani soil. The compound was utterly demolished and only three survivors were recovered. The murders were timed to coincide with Prince Charles visit to Pakistan, where he praised General Musharraf's tough stance on terror.

Undeniably an attack by Musharaff has taken place but how do you know the victime were all innocent? You think they were that is what you are saying if the US use propaganda for their aims in this instance so do you either unwittingly or not!

How do we know, unless through the process of law, trial by a jury of your peers, with representation and knowing what the charges are against you.

My point was sensible yours was an ill though out rant! If you just want to spout Al Qaeda propaganda fair enough but my point is we may not yet know what exactly has happened here so it pays to reserve judgment on it! The dead may be civilians, it may have been carried out by Pakistan or the US or it may be a targeted strike that has killed Al Qaeda we do not know.

If the eighty dead were all rampant Islamic insurgents planning a jihad, it still does not grant Pakistan or the USA the right to murder them in cold blood, without any recourse.

If British intelligence believe a wanted militant is residing at a house in Bradford, possibly manufacturing a bomb, does that mean the army can massacre the whole neighbourhood?

In this war both sides use propaganda now jsl there must be one hell of a view from your armchair as you claim without quoting a single identifiable source that all of these 80 people were innocent teenagers in spite of the fact you have absolutely no way of knowing that! The point about collective punishments made by ironic is a much better one but comparing the actions undertaken by Pakistan in a war zone to Bradford completely misses the point. Musharaf can't exactly send Dixon of Dock green round to arrest the leaders of an Al Qaeda affiliated madrassa and it's horde of Jihadists can he? These people are plotting to kill him and attack the west using amongst other things suicide bombers. Musharaf if he pinpoints them is then acting in self defense when he attacks, not least as these guys are in breach of a recent truce he negotiated with the tribal authorities in this area to expel militants! Now you may think what I said was propaganda? Or even call me absurdly a Zionist but I think it acts as a balance to jsls ranting al Qaeda propaganda.

So you don't want to compare actions taken in a "war zone" to Bradford, yet if the UK military and police dealt with suspected Islamic extremism in the same way as in Pakistan, then surely Bradford and many other areas would indeed be a war zone! I think the comparison stands. If you feel it doesn't, how about one from a war zone, such as the firebombing of Dresden- undoubtedly there were some Nazi military personnel there, but does that justify wantonly killing so many civilians? You also seem to be suggesting that I should be supporting the Pakistani military regime here, and its right to "self-defense". Frankly I couldn't give a shit about Musharaf, neither he nor Islamic fundamentalists stand for anything worth supporting. And if you're going to say Islamic fundamentalists want to attack the West as well, then I'd have to say that just leads back to the whole issue of Western foreign policy, rather than Bush's vision of Islamic hordes who hate our "freedom"...

The peace agreement, had it been signed, would have resulted in the grant of a pardon to the two most wanted militants, Maulana Faqir Mohammad and Maulvi Liaqat. Both had been charged with harbouring and providing shelter to Al Qaeda operatives.

You are on a hiding to nothing trying to debate with someone with the mentality of a sun reader.

The very fact that they throw around the term 'al quida' - even if only as a stick to beat you with, indicates they have swallowed the war on terror story lock stock and barrel. As far as I can tell, their efforts are probably only directed at winding [us] up and distracting from their own inheriently inconsistant, incomprehensible and ignorant views.

the war was bogus

our troops died for no reason
