Is the war against Islam about to start in earnest ?

According to the un-named sources cited in the Arab Times, the US timetable is being driven by the retirement of George Bush’s major ally, Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The British Prime Minister sacrificed his own popularity to back Bush’s wars in the Middle East. Politically weakened by his loyalty to Bush, Blair is publicly committed to step down from his office at Number Ten Downing Street from this May."

Chicken Little and the boy that cried, "Wolf!"

That does however leave the option open for a US/UK client state to undertake airstrikes on their behalf. A full-scale war is unlikely to be instigated, but if Iran strikes back the already overstretched US/UK would be in a very embarrassing position. Of course, they could spin it as "our great time of need for friends to back us!" but I think that'll get an even more lukewarm reception that it did with Iraqi Freedom- they may just well take up Algeria's offer of the monkeys.
My gut feeling is that the US vs Iran is going nowhere, but then again, I thought the plan to send 500,000 troops to invade Iraq was too crazy to happen.
At least this time round, the NeoCon liars are playing to a cynical audience.
