Getting down to work on a plot
A tree full of fruit, but what are the chances of harvest?
Manure and tidy beds
Some of the great food and cooks at the party
Julie Sumner and Robin Shelton toast the allotments
Of course they don't want to move, and what could be a better centerpiece for what claims to be a green Olympics than a thriving set of green plots in the centre of the site.
Plot holders Hassan and Reg, along with Sam Clark, top chef of Moro restaurant in Islington and others provided some great food, including splendid salad and Robin Shelton, author of ‘Allotted Time’, proposed a toast to Manor Garden Allotments.
Here are a few pictures that give some idea of the place and what's happening. More pictures and text now on my web site at http://mylondondiary.co.uk/2007/04/apr.htm
