Shame

Vote for-None of the above

To see IMCUK promote as the main story not to vote as a way of preventing the chaos we now have as a way of doing something positive is a shameful thing. The right to vote was fought for by generations of people from the 16th century. It is the only way we have to change things. To not use it is to give in completely to the corporate agenda. This fundamental method of change is all we have.If we allow it to dwindle away into apathy,by insidious ways we are lost. You have the means to change things.Regardless of who or what? The majority using their vote can change things. If the world of today is something you dislike but can't be bothered changing then don't vote. But if you have children and you want tomorrows world fit for them then you need to vote.It is the only system we have.To ignore it gives those in power power by default.I expect this to be hidden,if not even pulled. If it it is not published here it will be published on IMCUKWATCH.
DO NOT GIVE UP WHAT GENERATIONS GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR.

If Voting Could Change Anything

27.04.2007 18:10

It would have done so by now.

Regardless of who fought for what 500 years ago, voting now doesn't change anything. The most we can change with an elections is a leader and a party. Granted this could change things if parties were allowed to be different, but every political party right now is essentially the same, and when they change, only the tax rate becomes different.

The same

vote for non-mainstream parties or don't vote at all

27.04.2007 19:13

This sham is not a democracy and cannot really even maintain the pretense of being so anymore either. A system of proportional representation is more akin to a democracy than this shallow ballroom dance. Democracy cannot survive under the present UK legislative and parliamentary system - true or real democracy would be too revolutionary for the current status quo because it might mean having to listen to representation from the ordinary folk rather than the corporate pimps and militaristic hawks.

Solution: DON'T vote for any mainstream party at all - vote ONLY for an "alternative" party - the Greens (the best choice by far!!), Respect, anyone (except BNP!! or UKIPS new incarnation) but NOT Tory or Labour and even Lib-Dems are a bunch of clueless sucks. Choose wisely, use your vote strategically, or just don't vote at all.
