Black Ribbon Campaign

LIVE & LET LIVE! | 29.05.2007 21:56

The news is that many people around the world have had enough of the killing of human beings and animals. The Black Ribbon Camapign urges all your readers who feel likewise to wear a black ribbon to show you want an end to the killing.

BLACK RIBBON CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TODAY

As you probably know black is used as the colour of mourning throughout Europe and most of the ‘Western World’. Live & Let Live mourns all the unnecessary untimely deaths of humans and animals.
We encourage you to wear the Black Ribbon to show that you too mourn the deaths of people through war, the death penalty, medical procedures, poverty and the mass killing of animals.

STOP THE ST1TE KILLING
By wearing the Black Ribbon – we also say we’ve had enough of the killing – ususally at the behest of or sponsored by the State. The State has a vested interest in perpetuating what we call the ‘killing machine’. For example, the UK is a world leader in selling arms, usually to countries where there is serious conflict, human rights abuses and mass migrations (see CAAT campaigns for more information on www.caat.org.uk or Amnesty’s campaign Control Arms on www.amnesty.org.uk).

SHOW THE ABUSERS WE CARE
The Black Ribbon Campaign is used to shine the light of publicity on the darkest corners of our society where widespread and revolting abuse and killing goes on without most of the public knowing anything about it.
Scandal of Abuse of Animals
One reason why abuse of animals goes on unabated (and there is evidence to show it is on the increase) is the lies and distortions trotted out through the media. We are committed to tell the truth about animal abusers and the effects it has on animals by taking part in the Black Ribbon Campaign you can help expose the abuse.

Ignorance and Misinformation
The abusers need the darkness of ignorance that surrounds their useless and barbaric experiments. As our friend, Dr Vernon Coleman wrote in his book ‘Animal Rights Human Wrongs’, “Most people say nothing about cruelty to animals for three reasons: First, they often don ’t know what goes on in laboratories, in abattoirs and on farms and in other centres of animal abuse. Second, they don ’t believe that animals are capable of sufering. Third, they do believe that using animals - even if unpleasant – is essential. They falsely believe that without eating meat they will die. They falsely believe that if experiments are not performed on animals then their children will die slow and painful deaths. The key factor here is of course IGNORANCE. But the ignorance is compounded by MISINFORMATION.”

Shine A Light for the Disabled
We are committed to dispel ignorance and misinformation about the widespread practice of screening pregnant women to see whether they are carrying a disabled baby in time for an abortion.

Whether one is in favour or not with women having the right to abortion, surely the cold-blooded seeking out of disabled humans in order to terminate them is barbaric, revolting and unethical.

In the NHS new-born disabled human beings are starved to death or used for experimental fodder, as they are labelled useless eaters, an inconvenience or their quality of life is poor – all subjective judgements.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Again I quote Dr Vernon Coleman, “And mothers carrying babies who are likely to grow up with some form of disability are already encouraged to have an abortion. This is nothing more or less than a new, sanitised version of eugenics – something which was popular among the Nazis in Germany during the 1930’s and 1940’s, in SouthAfrica during the aparthied years and in the US between 1924 and 1974 when hundreds of thousands of citizens were forcibly sterilised because they were classified as ‘feeble-minded’”.

PLEASE WEAR THE BLACK RIBBON
Show the world (and particularly governments) that you want an end to the killing of vulnerable human beings and animals usually at the hands of government. Help us raise awareness of just how much killing is going on and who is doing it and why.

GET DR VERNON COLEMAN’S BOOKS
Vernon’s books are so controversial that they have been banned from being advertised by the Advertising Statndards Authority (a non-governmental organisation). We recommend the following:
“Living in a Fascist Country” (i.e. UK) - banned
“Animal Rights, Human Wrongs”
“Fighting For Animals” – banned.
