Since the BBC asked in May to report about bee sightings I have daily waked a couple of miles.It's now been 40 days My walks take in various terrain.From urban gardens to uncultivated meadows.My own garden is wildlife friendly.All the flowers in it are wild flowers.Grown from seeds i collected from wild flowers in the woods and fields.But in 40 days of looking i have not seen a single bee.And in 40 days I have only seen 2 butterflys.I don't know if this is just happening were i live or if it is a bigger problem.The bee is something we all depend on.Farmers rely on it to pollinate crops.Nature needs it for procreation.Last year i watched bees going in and out of a small hole in the wall of my house.They were not coming in to the house so i left it alone.They are not there this year.I never saw them come out.Since asking for reports on sightings i have not heard the BBC mention it since.This needs to be looked into urgently.If we lose the honeybee.it will have dire consequences in the near future for all of us.This realy a case of when a butterfly flaps it's wings in china effect.
