Seems like their legal peeps may be from the same camp. Timothy Lawson-Cruttenden has a disastrous record, having advised EDO in Brighton and nPower at Radley lakes. In both cases these sort of injunctions were issued, in both cases they got appalling press reaction and in both cases they were ultimately defeated.
Hopefully the judges at the High Court will take the same dim view of these tactics as their predecessors.

Tim Lawson-Cruttenden is a solicitor-advocate who specializes in the law of harassment. He has a cutting edge reputation in the field of countering unlawful and intimidatory protesting activities. Over the past few years he has prosecuted extremists and activists who have been conducting activities against the pharmaceutical and defense industries. His clients include Oxford University, Bayer, Huntingdon Life Sciences, Chiron and EDO MBM Technologies Limited.
The protesters include animal rights activists, anti-GM crop and anti-war extremists. In January 2005 Lawyer Magazine voted him one of the top 100 lawyers in England and Wales. In this respect he is able to maintain his close association with the armed forces which he commenced during a short period of regular service with the Blues and Royals, and over twenty two years service with the army reserves.
His last military appointment involved the command of a reserve armoured car squadron which was trained for a North Atlantic Treaty Organization role.

He has co-authored two text books on the law of harassment and has published numerous academic articles. He helps exercise Household Cavalry horses in the mornings. Until recently he was active on the rugby field. He is a member of the Travellers, Cavalry and Guards Clubs.
