Hydrogen Home Filling Station

Don Beck | 13.09.2007 17:58 | Ecology

At your local auto parts store or big box we
should be able in the near future to buy a
package that contains a hydrogen producing
generator. It will be able to be connected to
a solar panel of any kind, and with DC current
it will split water into oxygen and hydrogen
gas. It is actually very simple. The device
will have a system which has probes placed
in water which when DC current is applied
will produce oxygen on one probe and
hydrogen on the other.

A small compressor will send the hydrogen to a holding
tank that can be installed in an auto in less time than it takes to fill
your car at the local gas station and without a forty dollar payment.

The only things that are needed is a re-fit of stainless steel valves and a
stainless steel exhaust system for your car's engine along with installing
a small valve for the hydrogen intake to the carburetor.

Government re-fitting stations should be set up in every major city and no
major infrastructure will be required by the energy giants, who will be
boiling mad that oil will loose it's value and eventually become obsolete.

This would take time, but it would be the easiest solution to the problem
of global warming. Hydrogen, as you already know, produces only water vapor
and heat when it is burned, and it is actually more powerful than gasoline
as a fuel. It would also require the timing of your engine to be reset to
TDC (top dead center) because it explodes faster than gasoline. That is
a simple procedure that any home mechanic can accomplish.

So, the climate crisis can be solved with a few very obtainable and very
sensible adjustments to our urban life that would allow us all to continue
with our SUV life styles, and not push the climate into the catastrophic
future that is awaiting us with the continued use of fossil fuels.

Hydrogen rather than coal for electricity generation is also possible with
the new breakthroughs in solar panel technologies that make the cost of solar
equal to coal but far, far less destructive to the environment.

This IS attainable!

Also, a system of producing the hydrogen on each auto with the use of
a couple of 12 V batteries is attainable, but this also requires the stainless
steel valves and the other things mentioned above. It also requires a bit
more maintenance of the O/H separator......but it too IS attainable and has
been accomplished by several people.

So, if you want to let the energy giants ruin this planet for short term profits,
there is not much I can do to turn you around. But you will not be able to
say to your grandkids that there "was nothing I could do"!
