Wanker

Zaffar | 27.09.2007 14:49 | No Border Camp 2007 | Migration | Social Struggles

A protestor arrested by this wanker, for allegedly saying wanker, on the street, to her friend on the way to a protest. The reasoning given was that children might have hear it, she did not shout it, she just said it to her friend, possibly about the cop, who only proved her right by arresting her.
What a wanker!

Ok, we were walking towards the meeting point, two cops were walking towards us, the person was talking to her friend where she allegedly said wanker, I was only a meter behind her and did not hear it, her cop then, in a very aggresive manner said : "I've heard that!", and arrested her, this must be the crap arrest of the No Borders camp, the protestor is now banned from Sussex!
There is no doubt he is a wanker, I suggest that when ever anyone sees him, he reminds him of what a wanker he is!

This is how you do it

I am reminded of the method used by someone else in this situation.

Person says to policeperson - Are thoughts illegal?
Policeperson replies - Er No.
Person responsds to policeperson- So you can't arrest me just for thinking you are a wanker?

Job done!

oh how funny

27.09.2007 15:46

It's funny how police all look a little bit alike...a bit like pigs. Shame that pigs are actually quite nice animals while the police are just a bunch of *unts.

Oh right!

Sure, all policemen look alike.... they all look the same to me....

What the hell is wrong with you people? Grow up and stop becoming the people you profess to be set against! Regardless of race, creed or colour, we are al individual PEOPLE who each deserve to be treated with the respect we would like to see accorded to ourselves personaly. REGARDLES OF HOW THEY TREAT YOU. If someone disrespects you and you disrepect them, then you have debased yourself to their level. Treating them in turn with the highest respect costs you nothing and does a hell of a lot more for your cause than to anonymously post comments like "they all look the same... like pigs"

But then, why am I expecting anything else from what has to be then most highly censored website in the world?

most highly censored website in the world?

27.09.2007 16:49

Yup - which is why you can read 99.9% of everything posted here. The only bits you can't read are personal details that have been edited out.

You're about as spot on with the idea that cops are humans just like the rest of us. They're a bunch of power hungry thugs who have no respect for the law or the public, and treating them with respect is a waste of time.

Surely there are websites better suited to mealie-mouthed, wishy washy liberals?

If police officers all look alike...

27.09.2007 18:14

...it's probably the uniforms and the old-fashioned short-back-and-sides haircuts. They're not supposed to look like individuals!

Censorship and humanness

27.09.2007 19:05

"99.9% uncensored" is palpably untrue just based on the number of my own posts and comments inexplicably censored, though not all are!

Reacting to framing like that is human too. More peaceful protesters in UK should wear saffron, the wider media might buy into it and are getting bored with this hush-hush game. Today my local paper had a front-page story about stop and search figures.

Sounds like you need to read the editorial guidelines - then you won't keep getting posts 'censored' - if we are now accepting that 'censoring' means leaving stuff available to read - while you're finding out which guidelines you are breaching, you will also find a handy link to all those 'censored' posts.

BTW - if the stuff available to read is censored - what word do you use for the stuff that is no longer available to read - ie the tiny number of posts where personal details have been deleted?

Censor, know thyself

27.09.2007 21:16

If you don't want to count the blocking of whole posts and comments as censorship then good for you, all I know is that lots of posts and comments vanish altogether - George Orwell used a word "vaporise". For example the post "An old Zionist dream: the partition of Iraq" had two comments a little earlier, now one has vanished and doesn't show up under the 'view all including hidden' facility either. Or is it just rickety freeware code that's to blame?

The police can be rather troublesome...

...but I find that as I am incredibly rich they dont bother me.

But would it stand up in court.

28.09.2007 08:25

My first thoughts on reading this were, "would it stand up in court"?

Can you imagine being taken to court for this, and being allowed to defend yourself by cross-examining the officer in question.

"Officer, have you ever indulged in a solitary sex act?"

Either he is a wanker, or he is a liar.
