THE US/UK WAR MACHINE HAS AT LEAST KILLED 2.7 MILLION PEOPLE IN IRAQ

FOREIGN PRESS FOUNDATION - October 8th - 2007 - In the statement below, Gabriele Zamparini, who is a writer, filmmaker and activist in the UK, in his appeal from my point of view even uses body count figures for Iraq which are much too low. The shame for Antiwar.com, hiding the Iraq Genocide, is evident. Everybody, by the way, of any nationality who supports this genocide for the US/UK junta's power and profit, is guilty of war crimes, as war crimes trials later on will show.

UNDERSTAND THESE HUMANOIDS?

Denis L. Halliday, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator (1997-1998) and H.C. von Sponeck who was the UN Humanitarian Coordinator For Iraq For Iraq (1998-2000) both quit in disgust: the 'sanctions genocide' was getting too bad.

In July 1989 (before the sanctions), 387 children per month under the age of five died in Iraq.

In July 1998 (after the sanctions), 6,495 children per month under the age of five died, a 16-fold increase from before the sanctions.

SANCTIONS KILL!

GABRIELE ZAMPARINI - ACTION ALERT: WHY IS ANTIWAR.COM HIDING THE IRAQ GENOCIDE?

The best estimate indicates that more than a million Iraqis have been killed as a result of the illegal US-led invasion and occupation. The average American believed approximately 9,900 Iraqis had died as a result of the war according to a February 2007 AP poll. The mainstream media are continuing to use figures provided by the website Iraq Body Count (IBC) to sell the public a number for total post-invasion deaths of Iraqis that is perhaps 5-10% of the true death toll.

Antiwar.com's page Casualties in Iraq - The Human Cost of Occupation includes a big Iraq Body Count's banner and other IBC references, however that page does NOT include:

· the studies conducted by the world leaders in the field of epidemiology and published as peer-reviewed scientific papers in the world's leading medical journal, the Lancet;

· the recently published ORB poll suggesting a total of 1,220,580 deaths as a result of the conflict in Iraq since 2003 (i.e. as a result of violence rather than a natural death such as old age).

In these past three years many people have written to Antiwar.com about this issue without receiving any reply.
