This sunday is holocaust memorial day.
There is a "holocaust memorial day trust" www site,
there is also "remember.org" . . . . but there are also other things to remember,
as with the "remember each eleventh" campaign, the key is to both remember the actual people involved - ALL types - as whole people who were going to have entirely different breathing existences, of laughs, of wry sideways smiles, of mistakes, of gifts left for the worlds future in little ways or large . . . . but also to keep enquiries open to avert the stupidities recurrence. . . .

As the current "bogeyperson-of-the-decade"'s meeting about the 1930s holocaust decided, that holocaust DID happen. These results of that re-enquiry didnt get as much of a report as the questioning itself - as the 1953 coup there is virtually kept a secret from most westerners - for them, almost as crucial a bit of their past as the 1930s holocaust is for Europe.
It, of course, did also add that it seems unfair that the people of palestine suffer for it in these present times, also suggesting enquiries into the east india corporate occupation of India, the holocaust of Americas, also Australias people.
The extra bit of todays enquiry is perhaps the technical addition to forced "subtle" slavery . . . .

(1) that the slaves whose bodies were buried where they dropped, in those tea or tobacco farms that are where our teas or tobaccos come from to this day, the early bodies were those of "uppity" londoners, irish, scots, etc - either framed up for petty crimes, or "pressed" as people were into the warships . . . . its crucial to remember how africas progress was stifled by these losses, then getting carved into a chequerboard pattern without relation to traditions or the sense of the local places, yes, but if that is ALL we remember, we run the risk of getting played against each other on the basis of "colour" in the same way that if we remember ONLY jewish people as the targets of the later Holocaust in europe we risk getting played against each other as peoples. The crimes were against ALL of us.
In actual fact, the actual communities of the south of America were turning against slavery - outlawing new slaves getting brought in, as it decreased the worth of the efforts of all the people that were there . . . . it was faraway "owners" that were most in favour of this holocaust - the big houses whose kids often grew up without seeing where the cash came from that bought their presents . . . . a lot of us dont see where our clothes are put together these days either . . . .
(2) that other bits of those tales we often forget are the succesful reclaimings of dignity when ALL types of those slaves stood up, in haiti, as they did on the "pirate" ships of mutineers, as they did when they broke out at sobibor, in loads of places - often these actions encouraged others in the campaigns that echoed around the world again - as the people broke free, threw off shackles, it was often the fact that people WERE of all types - as "slaves" - that, as it did when people broke out of a mad Pharaohs pyramid scam, way back, opened the way for a new agreement of peoples . . . . wasnt always tablets hewn from the rock, but a mutual attitude that had the same sort of effect.
(3) there is also a need to remember the complexities of those situations too - the fact that at times it was the Kapos that burnt down the crematoria when the RAF was refused permission to bomb the railway lines, that despite getting used as "under-overseers" at times, it was often the "gaels" that added "laments" to the songs of fellow slaves, that were "the blues" in time, or that - to recover from the psychological brutalisation of the "forgetting tree" at the end of the voyage, later it was that curious combination of the local church with the local "working girls" that allowed people the weekly drumming sessions that were a way for all different peoples to re-remember their pasats, their traditions, their relations, their strengths. That was called "JAZZ" - after the jasmine perfume that the women wore when they came down to listen, to celebrate a different space free . . . . a downpayment on a free future too

Holocaust in Afghanistan & Iraq

There aren't mass death camps in Iraq of Afghanistan, many of the deaths are due to divide & rule by corporate rulers as well as from bombs from Physco US marines& UAV bombers,
Over 100 million died in world war 2 which was also financed by corporations led by Standard oil,infamous for majority shares in IG farben Aushwitz & supplying Luttwaffes essential tetra hydl lead fuel
now split into Exxon,Chevron,Texaco & Chase Morgan bank who have controlling shares of Visa international.Both are still largely controlled by the methodist not Jewish Rockefeller family, who helped set up Bilderberg & then expanded it with Trilateral Commission in 1973. These organisations more powerful than the WTO & WEF are now coming out of the woodwork after end of Soviet Union, with universities beginning to do serious research on them. Check Stephen Gill, Holly Skllar,schnews & info from various IWW researchers for solid info on these organisations who are top of the corporate ladder.
Now to maintain power they are causing global warming & replacing more & more people like Wapping printers,metal workers to UAV bombers with robots sadly programmed for warfare.
So many great campaigns are not being revolutionary linked enough , apparently hundreds of small campaigns were allowed in Nazi Germany as long as not revolutionary. We are making more links with organisations that work towards delegation & consensus, Trade Unions,cooperatives,community groups&campaigns,the Green party & others this is good. Greens in Germany made mistakes, but are now campaigning to remove troops from Afghanistan, many anarchists in east bloc supported NATO.
CNT anarchist syndicalists voted for the Republican government which helped achieve a revolution in spain before splits & nazi invasion, we had many victories against a much better supplied "professional" forces before splits over meagre supplies from "proletarian" dictators.
