The Bailiff - Philip Bailhache (28/2/1946) the senior judge in the island who also acts as speaker of the island's untransparent unaccountable parliament. He was from a very privileged background. He was very very lucky to go to a good independent school at Charterhouse, followed by taking a law degree at Oxford. He was first a politician for the parish of Grouville [in the east of the island] and resigned the position to take up the far more lucrative position as a Crown Officer when appointed as HM Solicitor-General. He rapidly became HM Attorney-General in 1986. [The position now occupied by William his brother]. The difference it makes being a Freemason?

He was the serving Attorney General at the time of the court case vs. Peter Pearce which represents the only time that a senior legal official in Jersey has lost a case in the Royal Court of Jersey. The case was presided over by the Bailiff of Guernsey.

He was involved in the controversy surrounding the removal of the very popular politician Vernon Tomes (later Senator Vernon Tomes) as Deputy Bailiff, and replaced Vernon Tomes in that office in 1994. He became Bailiff of Jersey in 1995 and received his knighthood in 1996 [as a Freemason].

In 2006, he was awarded[1] l'Ordre de la Pléiade (Grand Officier class) by l'Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie - which was to be expected as head of the island of Jersey.

His wife Linda is his second wife as he had a devastating fall out with his first wife during a tempestuous relationship when his poor long suffering wife was persecuted and suffered badly as a result of a serious abuse of power. The present wife is not so bright, very passive and not at all outspoken.

Certainly, his two children, Alice and Edward, would never be interfered with by paedophiles.

We are very concerned the Jersey public are finding out too much about our activities and how we control the island.

Being a small Province in Jersey with all our [10 (244, 245, 491, 590, 877, 958, 1003, 3459, 4449, 8352) + Installed Masters (8383) = 11] Lodges meeting at the one Temple, it is not uncommon to see our Grand Officers and Provincial Grand Officers in attendance, and formal Provincial visits to each Lodge take place once in every calendar year.

Our Brethren Philip Bailhache and Frank Walker are being assailed unduly and we were reminded that we have a sworn duty to protect them as brethren in every way possible as brethren, as we did with Wilfred Krichefski our representative in our [States of Jersey] chamber.

The MW The Grand Master HRH The Duke of Kent, KG, gave us a fantastic address at our Annual Craft Investiture on Wednesday 25 April 2007.


The newly raised Master Mason may wonder what happens at the Masonic Temple on other nights, considering his Lodge meets only 4/6/10 times per annum.

There are ten CRAFT Lodges [known as 'Blue Lodges' in the United States] in the Province of Jersey and an Installed MASTERS Lodge, but there are other orders as well.

In total there are:
Six ROYAL ARCH Chapters plus an Installed PRINCIPALS’ Chapter,
Three MARK Lodges,
Two ROYAL ARK MARINER Lodges,
Three “ROSE CROIX” Chapters,
One KNIGHTS TEMPLAR Preceptory,

One ROYAL and SELECT MASTERS Council,
Two ORDER OF THE SECRET MONITOR Conclaves,
Two ALLIED MASONIC Councils and a
PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE of the ROYAL ORDER of SCOTLAND.

Many Brethren with little knowledge of the Craft wonder what are these and how do they relate to Craft Masonry?

Each of these orders of Freemasonry helps to develop the basic theme of Freemasonry by utilising other incidents of our history which can be related to the development of man.

Each has a particular lesson which is taught using the same concept - that of an allegory which is compared to requirements of society and requires the candidate to reflect on the
object lesson being taught.

It has to be said that with so many other orders meeting in Jersey, it is possible to become too engrossed much too quickly and the new Freemason is advised to become aware of these orders but not to try to advance too soon.

In time, the Freemason will find time for the additional meetings and can join one or more of them, in so doing, advancing his Masonic knowledge and learning more about himself in the process.

The three Lodges meeting in Jersey are the Caesarean Lodge No 74, formed in 1865,
Jubilee Lodge No 1493 formed in 1977 and Liberation Lodge No 1719 formed in
1994. Unlike CRAFT Lodges where the ritual can differ, all MARK Lodges work the same ritual.

The lesson being taught in MARK Masonry is that good work and initiative will always be recognised and rewarded.

MARK Masonry
This order is controlled by MARK Grand Lodge and the Lodges bear the same names as their associated Mark Lodges.

There are two ROYAL ARK MARINER Lodges in Jersey - Caesarean and Jubilee.
The ritual is connected to the story of Noah and the flood.

The Charity appeal for 2007/8 is for the ARTHUR LOBB trust and the Temple Building Fund.

ROYAL ORDER OF SCOTLAND
INSPECTOR GENERAL INSTALLED
Graham Thomas Gallichan 33o has been appointed as the Inspector General for the District of the Channel Islands and was installed in that office on 6th March 2008. He is the successor to Arthur Bailey 33o who passed away in 2007.

NEW PROVINCIAL GRAND MASTER APPOINTED
Bro Graham de Gruchy was appointed Provincuial Grand Master (PGM) of the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Channel Islands in 2003 and he retires in September 2008. Grand
Lodge, meeting in Edinburgh, has announced that his replacement will be Bro Roger T Parker, the present Deputy Provincial Grand Master.
Bro.Parker was previously the Worthy Supreme Ruler of North East Yorkshire of the Order of the Secret Monitor.
Bro.Parker will be invested at the meeting in Guernsey in September by Bro The Earl of Elgin and Kincardine, RW.Deputy Grand Master and Governor of the Order.


ROYAL & SELECT MASTERS
The Royal Arch Mason will soon realise that a considerable period of time (500 years) passed between the setting of the Craft degrees and the Royal Arch. The Temple has been destroyed and a new Temple is about to be built.

The ROYAL & SELECT MASTERS Order
fills in some of the gaps. There are four degrees worked - the Select Master, the Royal Master, the Most Excellent Master, and the Super Excellent Master.

SELECT MASTER - In order to protect the Jewish treasures, King Solomon builds a secret vault in which to store them. This degree covers an incident during the building of the vault.

ROYAL MASTER - The event and consequences of the death of the Grand Master Hiram Abiff.
To many members of Royal and Select Masters, the ceremony of the Royal Master includes one of the most impressive pieces of ritual, undertaken by the Principal Conductor of the Work, surpassing even that of Principal Sojourner in the Royal Arch.

MOST EXCELLENT MASTER - The completion and dedication of the Temple at Jerusalem, and the gradual disappearance of the secret vault into the realms of legend.
Super Excellent Master - Jerusalem and the Temple are besieged by a Chaldean [Babylonian] army and is on the point of capture and destruction.
Candidates for the order of Royal & Select Masters must be MARK and ROYAL ARCH Masons. ["Royal Arch" refers not to Royalty but to the pathway of the SUN our star which describes the Royal Arch for without it, we would not be on our physical journey to discover our truth, but of much more importance, we would not be on this our spiritual journey!]

It needs to be remembered that these are all mythological or symbolic allegories and are in NO way to be taken as in any way literally true. [They are purely an allegory - just as most of the books contained in the Old Testament (TORAH of 1+ 4) + 34) and by extension - those books put together in the New Testament (27 books) [39+ 1+4+22 = 66 ('Revelation' wriiten in the style of apocalyptic asserts it is not to be altered or the moderator/editor/ redactor will be damned)] - known as midrash writing - are not to be taken as factually TRUE - "kadosh lo adonai"].

That is why this whole craft must conduct its ceremonies in absolute SECRET!

We link back to ancient Egypt but more correctly to ancient Babylonia [ancient Chaldea] and to the worship of the Sun, to Molloch and Jahbulon.


This truth of Freemasonry is communicated to brethren in the higher degrees of the Craft.


We Brethren know that a Lodge is said to be:
"Just" when it contains the opened Volume of Sacred Law (VSL),
"Perfect" when it comprises 7 (seven) members or more and

Our Candidate
Frank Harrison Walker - As part of his election promises held for the position of Chief Minister, at the public hustings both candidates gave a clear and unequivocal undertaking to work together for the first 3 (three) years. Senator Syvret had majority support amongst the population and the issue of whom should be Chief Minister was one of the most divisive of the 2005 Jersey election.

Disclosure By Non Brethren Hurt Us
In August 2007 however, a private discussion between Senator Syvret [non brethren] and the Council of Ministers was made public by former St Lawrence Constable Iris Le Feuvre [non brethren] in her position as chair of the Child Protection committee. This led to a lowering of confidence in the quality of child protection services in Jersey. Something which Senator Frank Walker [fellow brethren] subsequently attributed to Senator Syvret [non brethren] as the way of defending his position. [Best form of defence is attack]. Senator Frank Walker called for a vote of no confidence in Senator Syvret. Clearly, we won the vote of confidence and brother Frank Walker became chief minister.

Dangers of Going Public
A major opponent for Senator Walker, in recent times, has been the Tax Justice Network. On BBC Radio Jersey talkback, Frank Walker initially offered to take part in an open debate on the future of Jersey's finance industry; however, after consultation, we could not allow the debate to take place. Having submitted a detailed analysis of why Jersey was not possibly a tax haven to the US Senate hearing in May 2007, the Tax Justice Network responded with a submission of their own in June 2007 saying that Jersey was in fact and in law a tax haven which totally re-ignited the confrontation. This has erupted matters and Senator Walker plans to exit from politics within the year with our candidate taking control as chief minister of Jersey.

Rebranding: The Way To Control Jersey
Despite an overly negative public reaction to a previewed version, Frank Walker introduced a new Jersey 'brand', costing £250,000, which in turn also drew widespread criticism. Some people suggested the brand logo looked more like a 'flying banana' and that it did not represent Jersey.

Rebranding Jersey Under Our Control
Senator Walker was advised to go for rebranding but local design companies had to be deliberately ignored, using the argument that none of them were up to the job of creating a professional enough design. When a number of these companies banded together to put on a display of designs they had created free of charge, all designs had to be declined even though they wanted the decision reconsidered to use the disliked UK design, and refused to apologise for detrimental comments made regarding the experience of the local designers. None of them realised it was a design put together by brethren.

Hose of Commons Question
Following a written question in the House of Commons by Conservative MP for Romford Andrew Rosindell, it was made public that Jersey - through Senator Walker had enacted more legislation than either Guernsey or the Isle of Man. Walker was obliged to deny this fact but it was asserted that this was evidence of over-regulation, arguing that "the number of laws reflects the fundamental changes that have taken place in Jersey’s government". The MP is clearly causing us a further difficulty.

Protection of Tax Haven Status
Senator Walker submitted a 4,000-word (this is a number of great symbolism) statement to the US senate finance committee, which is reviewing offshore tax evasion, following the introduction of a bill, entitled “Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act”, which named Jersey a “secrecy jurisdiction”. In his statement, Senator Walker stated that Jersey had received a “generally compliant” verdict from the International Monetary Fund in 2003. Little do the public realise our connections to the White House through our brethren.

Budget Control
As leader of the Council of Ministers in Jersey, at the 2005 elections he promised the principal platforms of limiting government expenditure growth to 2.5% per annum. However, he allowed expenditure growth in 2006 at 3.4% and budgeted growth for 2008 now being set at 7.1%. Spending in 2007 was also reported as £50 million ahead of budget.

Human Rights in Jersey
In 2006, as part of evidence to the corporate services scrutiny panel he indicated that it would be "absurd to bring the human rights law into effect knowing that there were extant breaches"]; however in December 2006 the law was brought into effect and the first case against the government of Jersey was lodged with the Royal Court a month later.

Haut De La Garenne at St Martin
In February 2008, Senator Walker attracted considerable criticism due to his response to the ongoing investigation of child abuse centred on the former Haut de la Garenne care home. Walker's "OFFICIAL" position on the matter is that his Council of Ministers will ensure that there is "NO COVER-UP" and anyone who has been guilty of child abuse in that investigation will be brought to justice. However, following an interview on BBC Radio Jersey, where Stuart Syvret had put forward the view that there had been a systemic failure within Jersey's child protection systems over decades, Walker was filmed retorting that Syvret was out to "shaft Jersey internationally". When confronted with this footage by Jeremy Paxman on the BBC's Newsnight on 25th Feb 2008, Walker inexplicably insisted that he had not said those words. The long-term repercussions of which are difficult to determine, but in the short-term has been damaging to his reputation internationally and locally in media reporting.

Dandara and his Property Development Interests
It needs to be made clear that there never was a conflict of interest with his Isle of Man offshore property development company so that there was no accountability or transparency through the smaller tax haven company. The major building projects overseen in Jersey by Frank Walker as his public duty as the senior overseeing politician of the Jersey executive were to conflict with his private interest of his property development company in the Isle of Man - so his personal interests had to be asserted that these were of no conflict to his accountability and transparency of the Jersey executive. It was all above board.

How long the Jersey people will tolerate our brethren in control is about to be put to the test.

Walker's official position on the matter of the Haut de la Garenne situation - from Wilfred Krichefski OBE (for services to Jersey - recommended by the Bailiff), the late business leader who ran the small tailor's shop in Cattle Street was the jewish senator who was chair of some of the most important committees of "the States of Jersey", including chairman of the defence committee - referred to in the local press as "the Fat Man" who regularly visited the children in care at Haut de la Garenne to give them "presents" - together with all those in authority in Jersey who visited the boys and girls to give the lucky ones "presents" - as did many of our brethen who are senior politicans, senior law officers, senior advocates, and police within the States of Jersey - to the present day - Walker's duty is that his Council of Ministers will ensure that there is "NO COVER-UP" and "ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN GUILTY OF CHILD ABUSE IN THAT INVESTIGATION WILL BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE". [It does not necessarily mean that any of them will receive justice as our brethren control Jersey].

The oath reminds us that we protect our brethren.

INTERNATIONAL MEDIA reporting of the breaking diabolical RITUAL CHILD ABUSE and MURDER scandal in Jersey have conspicuously omitted to mention that the GOVERNOR of the Jersey Home for Boys (Haut de la Garenne) during the 1970s and 1980s was the island's current Bailiff, Sir Philip Martin Bailhache KBE!

Why might that be?

The "TEMPORARY" chief minister of Jersey tries to make out that he as head of the cabinet has co-operated with the forces of Light [Lucifer or G-d] and gives the impression his increasingly discredited delusioned "puppets" support the people. But do the assertions stand up to the facts.
Simply: No!

The mounting EVIL scandal at Haut de la Garenne children's home [closed in 1986] gets worse from day to day and the chief minister is sinking as the captain of the Titanic orders out to those who will listen that his ship will "never sink"!

The international media projects the chief minister of Jersey as a man of secrets - appearing as a fool in dark glasses like some latter-day Mafia Don from the Isle of Man or some other tax avoiding outpost who appears to say that there never were any murders nor was there any persistent complaints of persecution of ritual sexual abuse or horrific violence or any evil serial rapes of boys who are now men with memories of men, now dressed in robes in the satanic colours of red & black, men who had thoughts of high office and power and with power goes its abuse if not carefully regulated - many men in Jersey are now boiling with anger & want to rip out the tongue & bowels of the evil men in Crown Office & in the senior level of parliament.

Far too many impressionable vulnerable children were abused persistently in torture cells when in care. It could have so easily been immediately stopped. Thank God Lenny Harper has done everything to try to rescue the situation.

Shame on pathetic Jersey politicians who went out of their way to mask the scandalous crimes.

Shame on the Freemasons who assisted their friends in not wanting the truth to come out.

How dare the chief minister try to minimise the suffering and continuing persecution of the victims.

All men & women who were victims of such heinous crimes in Jersey are now boiling with anger. Senator Walker who has made most of his money out of offshore property based on the Isle of Man lives in ostentatious opulence in a millionaire's mansion - was this not built out of unbelievable suffering?

Those people who when young only sought a decent respectable responsible adult in a caring loving family - yet, sadly, their parents were not together, for whatever reason or their parents through poverty or poor education - invariably related in Jersey - were not there for their essential human social, emotional and financial needs.

Why the bias in Jersey news, perpetuated for so very long - throughout the long years of "occupation" by an alien government [controlled by Freemasons] against the care of the victims that the cries for help to officials who just said to the victims to "GO AWAY" escalating the searing pain & horrific suffering?

Hold on - but was not Frank Walker - linked to the Harrison family - the proprietor of the only daily Jersey newspaper - the Jersey Evening Post - from which most Jersey people derived their main source of news?

The reputation of Jersey has now been ruined - its international reputation is as low as it could ever get - the men that should be most respected are universally identified as cowards, bullies, spineless creatures from Lucifer's domain; they are dishonourable wicked creatures - every one of them. Why no greater outcry at the way the extremely popular Vernon Tomes was disgacefully treated as the senior Crown Officer by the Bailiff - subjected to extreme ridicule in order to preen the Bailiff's super externded ego - described by too many outside the island as "the toff" who seems to think he's a "banana republic tin-pot dictator" - when the people's hero, Vernon Tomes was unceremoniosly ousted in the shabbiest way possible?

The present situation is a breach of the Separation of Powers. This introduces enormous structural BIAS and PREJUDICE or the tendency or perception towards the same into the system of law in Jersey.

LEGAL LESSONS FOR THE BAILIFF & HIS FELLOW PARTNERS IN ERRANT LAW
Unbelievably, and undemocratically, the Bailiff, Philip Bailhache undemocratically suspended a democratic member from the House [Senator Stuart Syvret - ironically, the senator with the highest electoral mandate in Jersey.]. This was an outrageous egregrious error, as it gave the public the impression that the Bailiff has that power. This power the Bailiff does not have!

Only the States of Jersey government, acting as a WHOLE, can suspend a member from the House, which is what happened in the incident CLOTHIER referred to. The Bailiff also does not have the power to decide who will speak in the House; his power is deciding WHEN a person shall speak - and only that! Every member of the States of Jersey "parliament" has the right to speak (unless he falls victim of “the guillotine”) and that is very clear.

It was disgraceful that Advocate Le Quesne - wittingly or unwittingly? - as a member of the Clothier Panel, persisted in giving this WRONG information out to the public [as late as a week before Senator Vibert asserted these facts] and that is outrageous. Such inaccuracies or misleading assertions of opinion dressed as fact do not help their case and leaves them open to the claim that they had not done their homework properly on several elementary points. It further highlights the law and those so-called "learned in law" as complete asses.

The position which needs to be asserted is that if Jersey hopes to be seen by the world as a mature, responsible, accountable, transparent, democratic government of the people of Jersey for the people of Jersey, of those who ever intended to truly listen to the people of Jersey - it is unacceptable that the president of the House as Bailiff should be an un-elected person.

Is it also unbelievably perverse that the chief minister in Jersey - the gentleman who has introduced unnecessary stealth taxes which are unpopular with the people of Jersey but popular with Senator Walker - and curious that he has not sworn nor does it appear he is prepared to swear an oath that his independence and integrity for impartiality has not been compromised by being a current member of Freemasonry? - does the oath not assert that there is a duty to protect brethren above others who communicate their purported "distress" to brethren?

It appears that the States of Jersey is totally compromised by its powerful links to Freemasonry. It appears to its brethren as the only sure way to rise through the summit of the civil service in Jersey.

It is also unacceptable for most people - that the Lieut. Governor, Bailiff, Attorney-General, Solicitor-General, and Dean are permitted to be part of the States of Jersey parliament as those who have not been elected by the people of Jersey.

It is further unacceptable and discreditable that such persons have not sworn nor do they appear prepared to swear an oath that their independence and integrity for impartiality have not been compromised by being current members of Freemasonry.

It is about time the Queen's appointed Lieutenant Governor, the Queen's appointed:

Now we see the brethren wanted to impose the GST (Goods & Services Tax) the Jersey stealth tax - Jersey's answer to VAT (Value Added Tax - an EU imposed tax) at 17.5%.
The politicians in Singapore used the very same tactic. Introduce a stealth tax at 3%.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)(a consumer tax) was introduced in Singapore on April 1, 1994 [which was no April 1 joke] at 3%, but later increased to 4% on 1 January 2003, and 5% on 1 January 2004. Raised again to 7% on 1 July 2007. So it increases.
The politicians in Jersey said the tax was only to be introduced at 3% and no increase.
But the words spluttered by those who call themselves polticians in Jersey have as much value as toilet paper used by a geriatric with persistent diarrohoea.

In Jersey, Messrs. Walker, Le Sueur, Shenton, Vibert, Cohen, Le Main, Routier, Ozouf, and de Faye are in positions of authority in the Jersey parliament but are they not all Freemasons? The cable tow ties them in unity.

As for the Lieutenant-Governor in Jersey, Andrew Ridgway, a Lieutenant-General in the British army, he went to Sandhurst & Cambridge & was a UN Commander in Central Bosnia and Herzegovina, becoming Chief of Staff for the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps for NATO's entry into the Kosovo War in 1999 - where Depleted Uranium (DU) ordnance was widely used - causing birth defects to indigenous children & radiation sickness to troops. [We call the classic radiation sickness symptoms "Gulf War Syndrome" out of fear for the troops finding out the reality and suing the pants off the UK Government - known as HMG] He is also a leading Freemason!

Even when you prove your case and have the abusers jailed for 10 years the british government still continues the abuse of thses people in the hope the length of time will put the victims off or they will give up fighting and in some cases as in ours the victims take their own life in desperation.

The laws and statutes of this land were written for all men with no exception. It is not for our government or their agents to choose which laws either do or do not apply to them and then walk away from the culpability for their actions. Being a prison officer, police officer or even high court judge does not put you above the law.

Would they allow a known sex offender to continue working for 27 years within the youth penal system? Would they facilitate his transfers from institution to institution while they knew that he was a danger to young boys? I’m afraid the answer is yes; they would and they did allow just that. ‘They’ are the Home Office and their employees.

Neville Husband, a married 67-year-old from Shotley Bridge, County Durham, staged a string of sexual abuse offences at the Medomsley centre in the 1970s and 1980s. After his career in the prison service, Husband became a Clergyman of the United Reform Church. In February 2003, Husband was convicted at Newcastle Crown Court of abusing five youngsters and was jailed for eight years. The publicity surrounding the trial led to others coming forward, and in September 2005 he was jailed for a further two years after admitting attacks on four more teenagers. He is now a known and convicted paedophile who is currently serving out his ten year prison sentence.

Husband himself worked for nearly 30 years as a prison officer and Home Office employee. As with most employers, his employers wrote his employment records, and right there on top of the pile of files is one dating back to 1967. It says Neville Husband had been arrested for the illegal importation of homosexual pornography directly into the prison. When training with the prison service, Husband claimed he bought the material for research purposes and was never charged. He was also quizzed in 1999 - five years after he was ordained as a minister - in connection with police operations probing mail order pornography. The case was dropped. One of his many victims is now pursuing the right to sue his employers for vicarious liability in a high profile sex abuse scandal.

Kevin Young, suffered at the hands of Husband, while he was serving a short sentence at the Medomsley Detention Centre, Consett, Co Durham in 1977. Husband, who became a church minister after quitting the prison service, was jailed after admitting a string of horrific sex attacks on teenage boys. Between 1969 & 1984 Despite the Home Office’s attempt to block the move, last year Mr Young won a landmark legal case to launch a bid for compensation at a hearing in Leeds against the Home Office, which ran the detention centre where Husband worked. The Home Office tried to get the case thrown out, and their plea was that too much time has passed since the crimes occurred. This has customarily worked well as a defence for child abusers in the past, as the 1980 Limitation Act states claims for compensation need to be lodged three years after attacks took place. But Mr Young's legal team argued there was provision for people to lodge claims three years after the "date of knowledge". Abuse victims may not realise how badly they have been harmed until years after the attacks took place.

Although the 1980 Limitation Act does do a valuable job and performs its function well in certain areas, it was never meant to be used or abused in order to allow the high and mighty of this land to manipulate the legal process in their own favour. The Judge (Judge Cockroft) at Leeds Crown Court rejected the Home Office’s plea of limitation. Even so, the Home Office has appealed against Judge Cockroft’s ruling, and tried to block Kevin Young’s fight for justice.

Mr Young's solicitor, David Greenwood, of Wakefield firm Jordan's, said: "This stalls the process until it's heard in the Court of Appeal in London.
"They have already tried to have his case thrown out, but they weren't successful. Now they are appealing against that decision.
"Hopefully, if Kevin is successful again, he will be able to go on and prove that the Home Office neglected to care for him adequately and allowed this abuser to sexually assault him."

Neville Husband hand-picked boys to work with him in the kitchens before brutally attacking them. One boy was forced to submit after having a bread knife held to his throat. Another was attacked when he was caught stealing icing and marzipan from the kitchen storeroom. Many of these offences were happening as early as1967 at Portland Young Offenders Institution, and at Medomsley Detention Centre for 17 years.

Psychologist Elli Godsy said that these crimes were some of the worst sexual abuse she has ever heard of.
“This is one of the worst cases of sexual abuse I have come across in my 17 years working for the home office and working with some of the most prolific sex offenders and victims in the country.”
Sexual abuse on this scale could only happen in an institution, and Husband was continually moved around from one young offenders institution to another, allowing him to continue to sexually assault young boys wherever he went with absolute and total impunity. Countless young people were dehumanized and degraded in a never-ending flow of young flesh to the torture chamber.

Governors and senior management were in full knowledge as to the horrors that were going on in the Medomsley Detention Centre. They became the people who aided and abetted Neville Husband in his perversions. They helped him to escape liability for damage done to so many people, over a very long time. Governors and senior management turned a blind eye to the blatant sexual, physical abuse, and constant barracking. This destructive behavior originated from those who were meant to be helping with the rehabilitation of young minds, with the intention that these young boys would go on to becoming productive members of society

For example, governors and senior management not only knew what was going on in the kitchen area but they actively prevented all officers’ rights of search in Neville Husband’s designated areas. Former prison officer David Gordon McClure alleged that…

"Tim Newell (the Governor) thought very highly of Husband and seemed to look after him.”

“For example, on a regular basis on rotation we would thoroughly search various areas within the centre. This was to look for cigarettes and alcohol.”

“All main areas of the prison were searched except for the kitchen area.

“The prison management would not allow anyone but Husband to have access to the kitchen area. If anyone did try and search this area there were reprimanded by management.” especially a governor called Tim Newell”

“There were always very strong rumours that Neville Husband was homosexual and that he was sexually abusing boys who were working for him in the kitchen. This was general knowledge amongst staff and boys in the centre."

“Most evenings Husband would usually keep one boy back with him after the others had been dismissed and we all felt sorry for that boy.

“Nobody reported their suspicions to anyone because Husband was so close to and supported by the Governor and his senior management. Without proof we knew that nothing would come of it except that we would be moved to a different prison.”

We feel that as we were prisoners, articles from the Geneva Convention on the torture and degradation of prisoners would be more applicable in cases like this.

We go to court again in London on the 17th 18th and 19th of October to hear the reasons behind the Home Offices appeal against judge Cockroft’s historic decision. This may allow Kevin Young’s case to go forward to the high court.

Mr Young, 45, said: "I've said from the start, this is not about money. It is about the principle that people knew this was going on but nothing was done about it.
The experience left him mentally scarred, and he was determined to help bring his tormentors to justice. This started when police officers asked him to tell his story back in 1998 as part of the operation rose years ago.

The evidence and testimonies of the many victims and other prison officers from Medomsley at the time Neville Husband was there, were instrumental in bringing him to justice. Jurors heard how Husband used intimidation and fear to ensure the silence of his detention centre victims, all from damaged backgrounds.
Judge Esmond Faulks told him:

"Their fear of you caused them to submit to your unwelcome attentions and this was in my judgement a gross breach of trust. You and others like you helped cause their damaged personalities. Until now they never thought anyone would believe them.

After the case, Det Insp Simon Orton, who led the Durham Police investigation, said he was delighted by the outcome of the case.

“It is clear this man feasted himself on these young men who were in his charge," he said. "I hope that this will bring closure for the victims. I have no doubt in my mind their lives will always be affected by what happened in Medomsley. My thoughts are very much with the victims still. DI Orton said:
"He has never acknowledged any guilt."
“They have been very brave."

Following the news coverage of his first trial, that Neville Husband was called back to court. More than seven new victims had come forward, and he eventually pleaded guilty and what’s more dropped his appeal against his original 10 year sentence.

Tim Newell was Governor from 1979 to 1981 at Medomsley. He was at Grendon prison as well as the architect of the restorative justice reforms. He says in his statement… “About five years after leaving Medomsley I was on a course at the Prison Training College at Wakefield, when I bumped into a Medomsley colleague John McBee. John told me that Neville had to leave the service over an allegation that he had abused a boy.”

That would make it around 1985/86 when Husband, “Had to leave the service over an allegation that he had abused a boy.” In 1985/86, after being forced to leave Medomsley then got a promotion to senior officer at the Frankland Maximum security prison in Co Durham. Martin Narey was the governor at the Frankland from 1986 to 89, and the governor when Husband was promoted to a senior officer as ‘punishment’ for being caught sexually abusing boys.

Public Relations

Gerry Sutcliffe, parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Home Office is aware of outstanding civil claims relating to abuse of prisoners at the Medomsley detention centre which closed in 1983. His view is that while these civil actions are ongoing it would be inappropriate to comment on any calls for a public inquiry.

“A cash boost in May this year thanks to £1.25million funding for voluntary and community organisations throughout England and Wales, announced Home Office Minister Gerry Sutcliffe.

"Sexual crimes can result in high levels of distress and can be the most damaging physically and emotionally. This funding will help to ensure that victims of these terrible offences have timely access to advice, information, care and counselling that meets their individual needs no matter where they are in the country.

"I am determined that the needs of victims of crime must be better met and this funding is part of a wider programme of Government initiatives to put the needs of those affected by crime central in the criminal justice system."

This is what Gerry Sutcliff says in public; however when in private he is as bad as the abusers. He is allowing the suffering of all the victims from Medomsley to continue, and has failed to respond adequately to calls for a public inquiry into Medomsley Detention Centre and the decades of sexual torture many young kids were put through.

The sexual abuse of a child is a uniquely horrible crime, because it destroys the child's sense of him or herself and undermines the capacity to trust. The fact that this crime is usually carried trusted and respected adults of some standing, makes the damage worse.

Mr. Young, says that it is not just him, but other Medomsley claimants are still locked in an ongoing high court case against the Home Office.

Mr Young, from York, said: "I saw some things that nobody should have to see as a young person.

Governors of the Medomsley Detention Centre and their senior management "were aware of what was happening" at the centre and "failed to stop or act upon, in accordance with the prison protocols of that time."

Many if not all of the vulnerable youths were from broken homes and fractured backgrounds. They took on the baggage of being in the care system, where they were also sexually and physically abused, not to mention ill educated. This was the only alternative to being looked after by the church. And we all know where that leads.

I believe Husband had access to all the records about the inmates he chose to serve in his kitchen; he used these to great effect. I also believe that he was not!! allowed to have access to these private documents that were for the eyes of the governor and senior officers only ad he would use these to make his decision on who he could abuse. Who has little contact with the outside world?

Who doesn’t have parents? How many come directly from the care system or had abusive parents?

In Medomsley, we would start work early as we had to get all the breakfasts ready for all the other inmates. Husband would always be there, almost superimposed on every synapse of each young mind in his charge. He had enormity and presence in his own kingdom.

I’ll not bother telling you how breakfasts were in Medomsley … sufficed to they were fast! Everything worked that way in places like that. Once you were at work, Husband would make an excuse to get past you while you were, lets say, tending the potato peeling machine. As he did so he would press his penis towards your backside fleetingly then carry on what he was doing.

On the way back he would do the same thing only with more gusto, and we all knew what might follow. He would sense everything from the initial contact in the dining hall, where he would inspect the newest intake to the centre that day, and then he’d choose who would work in the kitchen.

All his victims were threatened with their lives. Neville Husband laid claim to being in the Military and was trained to kill. “You could disappear in places like this and nobody would ever know.” “You could be buried in the bottom sports field and nobody would care.”

One centre he worked in closed in 1987. There, male inmates stayed until they were 21, and during that time in the North East detention centre he went on to becoming Reverend Husband, a minister at the Brighton Road Reformed Church in Bensham, Gateshead.

Husband was also a freemason at the Chopwell lodge Co Durham along with another Prison Officer Leslie Johnson who was also arrested charged and immprisoned for his crimes on young boys too.

Betrayal

The UK's most vulnerable children are being "betrayed" by a care system that is guilty of a catalogue of failings, according to a damning report. The majority of young people leaving institutions are destined to become prostitutes, homeless or spend time in prison, the study states. Harriet Sergeant, author of ‘Handle with Care: an investigation into the care system’, said:
"It is not just a tragedy for the individual. A successful system of care would transform this country.

"At a stroke it would empty a third of our prisons. It would halve the number of prostitutes, reduce by between a third and a half the number of homeless and remove 80% of Big Issue sellers from our street corners.

"Not only is our system failing the young people in care, it is failing society and perpetuating an underclass."

The report says that out of the 6,000 people who leave care on average every year, 75% (4,500) will have no educational qualifications and within two years 50% will be unemployed, while 20% (1,200) will be homeless. Just one out of a hundred will make it to university. In the year ending March 31 2005, 60,900 children were taken in care - most placed with foster parents or in children's homes. Failings of the care system included children being moved among foster carers too often, and homes focusing on short-term containment rather then the long-term well-being of the youngsters. The report concluded the system should be reformed to provide "secure, stable, long-term and loving care for difficult children".

New initiatives that might help children should be explored and young people should be tracked after leaving care in order to build up a true picture of how the system was working, it added.

Hypocrisy

One would think the Crown and its employees could not act with absolute carelessness and abandon. One would think that it has sufficient morals of the sort that bind humanity together, yet the above comments show that this is far from the truth. Even today, despite the sector’s growth in statistical knowledge and greater education, young people are still not tracked after leaving care. A public servant is allowed to continue sexually assaulting children with absolute and total impunity. The authorities, being in full knowledge of these horrors are allowed to escape liability for the damage done whilst simultaneously, those same authorities don’t hesitate to punish a child for stealing a watch. It is clear from what has happened, that carelessness and abandon are words that do describe the actions of the Crown and those public servants who are only there at all because they have our trust.

We the undersigned hope that you can bring these matters to light in an effective way. This will make a difference not only to us, but the thousands of other abuse survivors whose abuse originated from being in the care of government institutions.

To this end, we will be cooperative in any projects you wish to propose that we feel are for the greater good.

How serious? How many officers? Who was involved?

Only a much needed investigation and or enquiry public or independent into the long term criminal activities by known and named officers H.M.D.C. Medomsley, County Durham, (Now Hassockfield). Will begin to uncover what is quite frankly a horror story that really needs to be told openly and honestly so lessons not lip service may be addressed.

Between 1967 and 1983 many raped and tortured sadistically often on a daily basis throughout there 3, 6 month sentences by a small group of serving officers and with the apparent knowledge of more senior prison officials, assistant governors and governors, with criminal charges being formally lodged firstly in 1967 for criminal offences that clearly showed a most unhealthy appetite for homosexual pornography in regards young boys in bondage etc.

The illegal importation of homosexual pornography both into the uk and then into the Medomsley youth custody centre its self, to be shown to the young inmates in private viewing situations between officers and inmates according to home office official documents and known as Portland Young offenders institute , only to be dismissed as not in the public interest!

The relocation of the offending officers to other youth custody centres, despite formal criminal charges laid by Portland police, also charges that were to be subsequently drop deemed not in the public interest!


Allowing them free access to continue there ways uninterrupted as they most certainly did, culminating in the rape and violent sexual attacks on many young inmates over a twenty year period.

Most of these will remain silent witnesses, many with a duty of care, having failed in that duty have welcomed the immoral use of this statutes of limitations act designed primarily for medical negligence to allowing those responsible to avoid accountability and therefore deny justice to genuine victims. The Church and many other institutes have and continue to misuse the act to avoid accountability! In particular where the facts have been fully investigated and found to be true.


Only by dealing truthfully and morality with past, so called historic abuse
(Not historic to those who live with its affects today!) can we truly learn and there fore begin to avoid a large proportion of the inhuman and life destroying abuse that has and continues to blight our progress to a better and more just society.


Home offices policies of inaction / avoidance and at times outright criminal deceit in this and many similar cases have resulted in the continuation of the most brutal and inhumane criminal treatment of young persons in their custody.

A society that tolerates abuse is by its very nature an abusive society, and the laws required to deal justly and morally with abuse must reflect that society’s desires.


I can fully understand the statutes of limitations when used for its designed purpose (medical negligence )but this law was never intended to be applied to victims of abuse who seek an opportunity for a fair hearing and with consideration for the well known and documented symptoms of those abused being unable to unburden there nightmares

Sometimes until many years later, in reality most victims will live out there lives silent witnesses to the betrayal and humiliation that only they will truly know and there silent screaming heard only in there shattered minds . In reality for many years only the lawyers and legal frame have gained financially from all this pain and yet how quick the defence to constantly refer to the compensation always the compensation?

They chose to further belittle and cause pain while collecting there fees in bulk, woe ye layers. Who would ignore our quest for justice peace of mind and a opportunity for some degree of closer that we and our families crave so badly.

I've also heard that there might be a connection between the three policemen who apparently killed themselves and Jersey. Not mentioned in the article but it's been alleged that Neil Munro was investigating the yachting community, following claims of children from Jersey care homes being loaned out to wealthy yachtsmen.

Also, I've heard allegations that Leon Brittan was sent to Europe because he was caught abusing boys. His name also supposedly cropped up during the Jason Swift investigation too. Swift might have been in a care home in Islington.

I think there's definitely something amiss with regards to the care home abuse allegations and investigations.
