SHAC Watch - Do we care? Do we f**k!

anti-speciesist | 30.05.2008 22:50 | SHAC | Animal Liberation

Your first question is probably - what the hell is SHAC Watch? That's of course if you already know about the international movement know as SHAC? Well don't worry if you don't, because SHAC Watch are here to give you so little information that you're going to end up searching for animal rights websites to find out more.

Picture from NETCU Watch
Picture from NETCU Watch

Despite the increasingly repressive measures by the state, it was only a matter of time before animal abusers felt like it wasn't enough to deter activists (because let's face it, it never is) so shac watch was launched is an attempt to try and name and shame who they see as 'animal extremists'. Not that we haven't been aware that they've always wanted our details for some time now and on many occasions have managed to collect or purchase them, but recently they've been getting more and more desperate. Such as recently as seasonal campaigners are being asked if they would like to turn informant or those hunters who love to film us - even at the SHAC national march! [1][2]

So what the hell is this all about? Imagine Redwatch but with fewer details, much more misinformation (mostly on purpose), a relaxed sense of hopeless optimism and a substantial dose of naivety. Few viewers wouldn't have laughed when to conclude World Week for Lab Animals, after HLS' top supplier had a truck torched in the US, 500 anti-vivisectionists march against Novartis in Horsham, where vivisectors also received home visits, and demos had taken place across the globe, the watchers posted a blog titled "SHAC is slowly dying". [3][4]

Then there were the raids against anti-fur campaigners in Austria for targeting Kleider Bauer, so this fool was quick off the mark to get his message across. It was quickly decided that the press article refering to the raids as targeting "an international network" wasn't good enough. Instead, "known as SHAC" was also included, despite being government filtered for that exact purpose. [5][6] It probably makes it funnier that it's coming from someone who despises direct action against animal abusers, whilst falsely reassuring readers that there isn't a threat from SHAC anymore, our question is - why have the site then? This foolish behaviour was then mirrored by falsely claiming AR2008 had been cancelled, only serving to expose the pipe dream further about trying to crush the animal rights movement. [7]

So what's this really about?

What we do know is that some activists really get up this persons nose! Whether its Dick, Nat, Chris or Alan, its clear that there are some personal grudges against these dedicated campaigners. The main focus is googling names and reading myspace comments for intelligence, which for some of us probably sounds familiar.

So who could be running this anti-anti-animal cruelty and NETCU watch watch website? From the description, it's probably fair to say it's somebody who enjoys animal cruelty and tactical coordination against extremism. The likely suspects are those idiots from Cambridgeshire known as NETCU, or the previously mentioned hunters. Whoever they are, the mystery is out there - the problem is we don't give a f**k! As NETCU Watch say "Check em out for some serious laughs…"

SHAC dying?! How laughable! In just a few years, it has turned into an amazing global campaign. Many newly exposed companies now drop HLS in an instant as soon as they become the subject of protests.
SHAC is non-hierarchical, yet well-organised and responds quickly to the newest target. So widespread is its support that despite desperate attempts to conceal the identity of suppliers, take out injunctions, get the cops to harrass activists etc. that information continues to be released about scum working with HLS from those with insider info.

Well over 250 firms, including some of the world's largest investment banks have dumped HLS. See the 'roll of honour' -

SHAC watch certainly gave us all a good laugh, it's lowly pathetic drool was really quite something. 'Desperate' certainly is one word to use when describing it..... if only they realised that we really couldn't care less about the fact that they can google names and compile information into a wordpress blog! hahaha

Laughable

Viva SHAC!!!

SHAC Watch have no valid or credible arguments. No scientific arguments.

01.06.2008 20:45

SHAC Watch have no scientific, credible or valid arguments so resort to childish name calling, describing activists as "fat" or "ginger" to insult them.
Sad.

SHAC is a professional and global campaign that grew from the hard work of just two people and now has branches in almost every country.

The authorities are so bothered about this "dead" campaign that when SHAC simply showed a SHAC DVD in a London community centre the police turned up! Need I say more?

And as for the people who have it in for Alan and Dick....these guys are cleverer than all of you anti-AR people put together and more so.....

Blog post

I wrote a blog post, inspired by this article a couple of days ago.
And someone (seems like the owner of SHAC watch) commented it.
It seems the pricks at SHAC watch have nothing better to do than search their name in google, and see what comes up.

re : "google search / reading myspace"

While this may sound amusing...NETCU and MI5 do not "speand all day googling and reading myspace" {SHAC Watch probably do...}

The reality is that they are nowhere near as stupid as people think or make out which is why dedicated activists such as Sarah Gisborne, Heather Nicholson,
, Natasha and & Greg Avery, etc are in jail.

The NETCU etc people rely on infiltration, grasses, and other downright nasty ways of getting info...including payments to informants and blackmail.

Never underestimate these cunts. They will employ anyone...including your hire car company / phone or internet service provider etc / your "mates" for example....

The SHAC House , cars, phones {and computers?} were bugged & compromised. This wasn't acheieved by "the police getting lucky and just happening to sneak up when no-one was looking".

Lyn Sawyer posted a blog recently about police harrassment and such tactics as recruitment of informants, which she of course turned down. Lyn told the police to fuck off.

This isn't scaremongering but fact.

While we can still campaign, just be aware that some people aren't {or are....} what they seem.

And anyone who disputes this or dismisses it is either very naive or has a reason for doing so.

getting wise

are what counts and not petty vindictiveness!
