These arrests bring the total number made during Climate Camp to 34. Sixteen people have been charged, three cautioned, three bailed, one bound over to keep the peace, one remanded in custody for breach of bail conditions, six released without charge. Five remain in custody
James, 34, of no known address, who was arrested Wednesday for assault on a police officer, appeared before Medway Magistrates today. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before magistrates in 7 days.
Kent Police can now confirm twelve further arrests.
Julian, 44, Gillingham, has been charged with criminal damage and drunk and disorderly. He has been bailed to appear before Magistrates on August 15.
Marion , 60, of Clapham, has been charged with obstructing police. He has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates on August 28.
A 41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of theft has been bailed pending further enquiries until October 1.
A 33-year-old man from London arrested on suspicion of being in possession of controlled drugs has been bailed pending a decision to prosecute until November 7.
A 41-year-old woman from London who was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of drugs has been bailed pending a decision to prosecute until September 30.
A 38-year-old man arrested from London for possession of a bladed article has been released without charge.
A 33-year-old man from Lancashire arrested on suspicion of being in possession of controlled drugs has been released without charge.
The following remain in custody:
A 27-year-man from Worcestershire arrested for possession of articles to commit criminal damage.
A 35-year-old woman arrested for obstruction.
A 20-year-man arrested for breach of the peace and/or obstruction.
A 20-year-old man ) arrested for breach of the peace and/or obstruction.
A 25-year old man arrested for going equipped for theft.
Wednesday, August 6
Seven people were arrested today, in connection with Climate Camp bringing the total number to 22. Offences range from possession of a bladed article, obstruction and public order offences.
One man, Dirk, 57, Sussex was arrested and charged with obstruction. He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on September 3.
The following were also arrested on Wednesday:
Arild, 20, was charged with obstructing police and will be appearing at Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Denis, 28, was charged with obstruction and has been granted conditional bail to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on August 28.
James, 34, was charged with assault on a police officer and appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday.
In addition, a 44 year old male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and is currently in custody.
A 38 year old male was arrested for possession of a bladed article but was later released without charge.
Fourteen people have been now been charged, three have been cautioned, one bound over to keep the peace, three released without charge and one remanded in custody for breaching bail conditions.
One 20 year old from Oxford was arrested for two offences. He has since been charged with one offence and cautioned for the other.
Tuesday, August 5
Thirteen people have now been arrested in connection with the climate camp protest and eight have been charged.
A man was arrested on Monday at the Climate Camp protest for being in breach of his bail conditions.
Paul, 41, West Yorks, has been remanded in custody by Medway Magistrates until Monday (Aug 11)
The following were arrested from August 3
Reginald, 40, Nottingham, was charged with possession of a bladed article and bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on August 28.
Taus, 31, was charged with obstructing police and bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on August 28.
Emma, 27, Manchester, was charged with driving without insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Ms Sheppard was bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on August 28.
Sonny, 36, Kendal, was charged with obstruction of a police officer. Mr Khan was bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on August 28.
Mika, 27, was charged with obstructing and resisting a police officer. Police bail was not granted and he remained in custody until he appeared at Chatham Magistrates Court on August 5.
Patrick, 24, was charged with obstructing and resisting a police officer. Police bail was not granted and he remained in custody until he appeared at Chatham Magistrates Court on August 5.
Andrew, 45, Dudley, was charged with obstructing and resisting a police officer. Police bail was not granted and he remained in custody until he appeared at Chatham Magistrates Court on August 5.
A 19-year-old man was bound over by magistrates to keep the peace today (Aug 5).
In addition, a 21-year-old man has been cautioned for obstruction and a 27-year-old woman cautioned for possession of cannabis.
On July 31 two people were arrested and charged with obstruction.
Monday, August 4 - 9.02pm
Nine people were arrested in connection with the climate camp protest.
Four of the nine people arrested have been charged as follows:
, 40, was charged with possession of a bladed article. Mr Twigger was bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 28.
Taus, 31, was charged with obstructing police. Mr Larsen was bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 28.
