Demo #1:

Novartis
701 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington DC 20004 S#725
202-638-7429

Approximately 50 demonstrators converged on Washington DC after attending the 4 day National Animal Rights Conference, AR2008, held in Alexandria, Virginia. First stop on the Capitol Hill Tour was Huntingdon Life Sciences customer Novartis. Multiple activists with bullhorns blaring faced a phalanx of security guards.

Multiple banners proclaimed Huntingdon Life Sciences for the puppy killing scum that they are. Companies like Novartis are funding the killing of 500 animals a day for greed and profits. When will the killing and the torture of sentient beings end? Activists called on Novartis to cut their ties to Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Demo #2:

Merck Research
601 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington DC 20004
202-638-4170

Next stop was the office of Merck Research another major customer of Huntingdon Life Sciences. A lone security guard displayed his mounting temper and agitation as he spit tobacco juice all over the pristine white driveway as he held the angry protesters at bay. Voices were raised in righteous indignation as Merck continues to fund animal torture at the hellhole known as Hunting Life Sciences.

This busy location afforded activists the opportunity of passing out literature to all passersby to educate them about the horrors of animal testing and the bloody business that goes on behind the locked doors and razor wire fences of Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Demo #3:

Sanofi-Aventis
801 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington DC 20001
202-628-0500

A short walk away and activists were at the offices of Sanofi-Aventis, HLS customer. Sanofi has been targeted by animal rights activists around the world and will continue to be a focal point until they cut their bloody ties to the butchers at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Once again, voices were raised in unison, placing blame on Sanofi-Aventis for funding the killing of 500 innocent animals daily.

Demo #4:

Bristol-Myers Squibb
655 15th St. NW, S. 300
Washington DC 20005
202-783-0900

Although some activists had to return to the hotel for travel connection, about 25 activists continued on to the offices of yet another Huntingdon Life Sciences customer, Bristol-Myers Squibb. Bristol-Myers has been a target of New York City animal rights activists, who regularly visit their corporate headquarters located on Park Avenue.

Like all of the preceding protests, this one was peaceful and following all local ordinances. Despite that fact, Washington DC police response was aggressively over the top and uncalled for as they brought in mounted police on horseback to intimidate the activists into submission. The demonstration continued undaunted. No arrests were made despite the repressive tactics of the local coppers.

Demo #1: Vanguard Group
2121 K St NW #300, Washington DC 20037

Activists attending the national animal rights conference AR2008 being held in Alexandria Virginia, took the opportunity to visit the offices of two primary Huntingdon Life Sciences investors. First up was the office address of Vanguard Group, one of Huntingdon Life Sciences’ largest institutional investors.

Of the 25 activists who engaged in the protest, several were using bullhorns making this one of the loudest demonstrations ever. The quiet street echoed with the sounds of angry protesters decrying the continued torture and killing of animals at Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Demo #2: Barclays Global Investors
1501 K St NW #500, Washington DC 20005

Second stop was the office address of Barclays Global Investors. Barclays is currently the largest of LSR’s (ticker symbol for Huntingdon Life Sciences) institutional investors with a whopping 279,842 shares. Once again the sound of multiple bullhorns blaring sent a strong message to Barclays. “If you want to get some rest, cut your ties with HLS”.

Activists vowed to continue pressuring Barclays until they make the ethical choice of other LSR investors. Sell your shares, Barclays!
