Depleted uranium found in Gaza victims

no war | 04.01.2009 13:28 | Palestine

As part of the Zionist agenda to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians from the land, Norwegian medics report the used of depleted uranium in Gaza

Norwegian medics report the use of depleted uranium in Gaza. The report comes after Israeli tanks and troops swept across the border into Gaza on Saturday night, opening a ground operation after eight days of intensive attacks by Israeli air and naval forces on the impoverished region.

A ground offensive in the densely-populated Gaza is expected to drastically increase the death toll of the civilian population.

The latest assaults bring the number of Palestinians killed to over 488 with 2790 others wounded. The UN says that about 25 percent of the casualties were civilian deaths - including at least 34 children.

Would be unexpected

One would imagine that the Israeli tanks are firing HE rounds (would not involve DU) and not AP rounds (might, to increase core density) as the Palestinians don't have any tanks and AP rounds are used just when it's armor vs armor fighting. Armor piercing rounds are better only when needing to punch through armor but they are much less effective against anything else because they have so little explosive charge.

Uses of DU

Whilst DU AP (armour piercing) rounds might not have an easily seen use against lightly armed Palestinian fighters, DU projectiles other big use of penetrating thick concrete / underground bunkers could certainly make there use a possibility.

Cluster Bombs

04.01.2009 18:44

Since the latest massacre started I must confess I have broken my vow not to watch the corporate goggle box and have been following the one sided onslaught on TV.
The coverage of course stinks and it makes me sick to listen to the various correspondence parroting the official "western" position. There is not much to see from their fairly safe view points in Israel but they do like to keep showing the big explosions that light up the night sky. However I did notice that some of the explosions look like firework displays where there is what appears to be a large mid air explosion and then lots of little streams of smoke heading downwards, are these cluster bombs or if not what are they.
The pictures were shown on SKY and the BBC yesterday evening. ??

yes DU is WMD = GENOCIDE

why not cause cancer and genitic defects in the people you are determined to 'wipe off the map'.

If you cant be bothered to do your own research in a search engine…

just paste these words in to your favourite web browser:

norwegian report depleted uranium in gaza

Israel has (do your research) also been testing genetic weapons that target the DNA of particular phenotypes. This is just another chapter in the Zionist agenda envisioned by Theodor Herzl, the father of Zionism, was that European Jews were to move into Palestine and the native population, with the exception of the very small Jewish minority living there, were to be pushed off their land.

cluster bombs

Not a big explosion to separate the bomblets of a culster bomb but a rather small one -- don't want to set the individual bomblets off. You are presumably seeing something else.

I was also curious about the mid air explosions. Apparently the Israelis are using white phosphorous, and that seems to me the likely cause of these firework displays. AIUI WP is used to create smokescreens or for illuminating the battlefield. This begs the question, why are they using it when they would gain a clear advantage from using their night vision technology at night? Also, smoke screens are obviously useless at night (I doubt Hamas have laser sights). Is using WP at night against a low tech enemy a clear sign that it is being used as a weapon similar to napalm? Or am I way off track?

Hamas do have night-vision goggles but the Israelis are better equipped and so still do most of their operations at night. Hamas resistance fighters have thus been creating their own smoke to hide their own movements. WP is also used as a weapon under the excuse of illumination, worse even than napalm, medics on the ground will have to confirm if this is the case so far though. DU is deliberately used in Israeli weaponary, as in British and American weapons, deliberately to kill. It is extremely short-sighted of the Israelis as radioactive smoke plumes will drift and also affect their own population. DU from Iraq even reached the UK and was measured at Aldermaston.

The Norwegian doctor was also interviewed on Sky News where he made the point that out of the hundreds of casualties he had treated, only one was a fighter. The fact someone is in Hamas does not make them a fighter. It is in the interests of Hamas to claim victims who aren't Hamas fighters, whereas some of them will be teachers, policemen, civil servants and other non-military employees or party members.

Thanks for the reply.

For anyone's information, here are examples the images I was referring to

So the use of DU in Gaza certainly dispels the Israeli argument that the war is motivated by a desire to protect their own civilians, doesn't it!?

tossers me thinks

04.01.2009 22:02

WP use at night is all part of the 'shock and awe' philosophy that was adapted for the 2nd Iraq invasion, a message to the world of 'look at how hard we are', wankers! DU likewise, which is just a cheap way of dumping nuclear waste isn't it?

Ordinance explosions cause Nanoparticles ! (of DU in this case)

04.01.2009 23:16

One of the big problems with using depleted Uranium is that it when you cause an explosion you create Nanoparticles that are so small they can go through the pores of humans flesh this tiny particles are easily carried by the wind and could land up anywhere. A lot of them will certainly land in Israel they could easily be blown to Europe, the sand from the desert is carried by Scirocco the wind from Africa which dumps of tons of sand in Italy and Spain each year. Not that it will worry the Europeans too much as they are busy creating their own nanoparticles by burning waste materials which they are too stupid to recycle, not too mention the mafia controlled toxic waste disposal service what they don't burn in the incinerators is dumped at sea or in illegal sites on land.
