ANTI AUTHORITARIAN RESISTANCE @ DIRECT ACTION

DIRECT ACTION - can be opportunity for small groups to get used to work together in larger networks.. can be applied to sway the opinion of a whole nation....D.Action can give visibility to a group or perspective not otherwise represented ,or emphasize the posibility of a view point those in power would deny - a newspaper wrap spreads the news the corporate media won,t share , just as broken corporate windows prove that ..NOT EVERYONE IS HAPPY UNDER CAPITALISM .. D.Action can demonstrate that social factsand physical conditions that seem inevitable are actually subject to change....... D.Action can make life less predictable , more magical and excinting or at least humorous , for change spectatorsas well as participants when businessis opressive and depressing , simple interrupting it is a service to all....... POPULAR OR NOT , direct action can keep importante issues in the news and in private conversations : sabotaging an envirommentally destructivedam can bring up its ecological effects whether or not people aprove of the sabotage itself... D .action can give a group political and social leverage ; in the 80,s dutch squatters facing eviction demonstrate their power with a directed campaign of harassment and vandalism that lost AMSTERDAM its bid to host the OLYMPIC GAMES , and thus gained an advantage for bargaining with the city for their homes ...D.Action can provide a deterrent ; after the demos during the WTO in SEATLE no nation but QATAR would host the next WTO .....D.Action can hinder corporate wrong doing by inflicting financial losses:animal rights activists have driven several fur corporations out of bussinessby means of vandalism ,obstrution ,picketing etc etc etc ....D.Action can discredit or disable nefarious organizations by connecting them in the public mind to vidence and trouble ;if every time a racist party tries to hold a meeting it ends in street riots , no city is likely to permit them to meet openly and few converts will join their ranks ..D.Action can set a atmosphere for a event ; if banners have been dropping and pirate radios stations broadcasting all week ,everyone will expect the weekends corporate trade conference and anarchist, anti capitalist .communist counter demo to be historic , and that expectation will help itself come true ....D.Action can demonstrate tactics that others can appropriate and use themselves for years this tactics may only be revelant to small minority until in a time of crisis they are suddently indespensable to everyone . when the crisis hits, it will be to the advantage of all that some have already been practicing and perfecting these skills and that everyone else has at least heard of them ...D.Action can save lives and give those who engage in it back they dignity by enabling them to confront injustice directly ,as in animal liberation raids , it can be the best form of therapy helping those who ad to cure feelings of boredom, hopelessness and impotence !!!when one is doing nothing ,everything seems impossible ; once one begun doing samething it is easier to imagine what else is possible and recognize opportunities as they rise!!! D.A ction offers the change in one,s convictions and desires as the life experiences they rightfully should be ....D.Action is a means for getting in the healthy habit of acting rather than looking on in every impulse that is allowed to flow into action is a spell cast for more of the same , in this passive paralyzed society we desperately need to nourish in ourselves , the habits of engagement and participation ..as they say DIRECT ACTION gets thew goods ...... DONT JUST THINK ABOUT IT , DONT JUST TALK ABOUT IT , FOR HEAVENS SAKE DONT JUST BICKER ABOUT IT DO IT ........................... to engage and learn new stuff check crimethink.anarchistcookbook...............see you in the streets @
