It would be great if someone could record such an offer on their mobile phone or whatever. Or play the cops at their own game and get £10,000 which would essentially go straight into the EDO campaign chest.

They have been using this tactic with animal rights activists too for many years.

I don't think it's against the law for the police to do this though, as the article claims.

You could try to game them by taking the money and feeding misinformation but it would be a risky strategy.

I think part of the reason they do it (very openly, and to people who are unlikely to say yes) is just to spread paranoia and suspicion amongst activists. It's similar to the COINTELPRO tactics used against civil rights activists in America in the 60s.

However, the fact that they are doing this is an indication that you are doing well and they think you are a viable threat to the system, so let it give you hope that you are on the right track!

I wonder if we had a whip round and raised £10k if we could persuade Brighton CID (and their other detectives...) to do their jobs and arrest EDO for war crimes?
