ALF Bomb Hoax for World Week for Laboratory Animals
North American Animal Liberation Press Office | 30.04.2009 19:17 | Animal Liberation | Health | Social Struggles | World
Date: April 29, 2009
Institution Targeted: UCLA Primate Vivisection
Received anonymously:
Abraham Wagner subleases office space in suite #1555 from Jim and Eric Lund. Wagner is also married to primate vivisector Edythe London, who addicts primates to crystal methamphetamines and nicotine. Next time, Abe, the bombs won't be fake and will be placed strategically when and where you least expect them.
Our suggestion to Eric and Jim Lund is to expel Wagner from your office. Do you really want to sublease space to a man who is married to a murdering scumbag such as Edythe London?
And to the FBI who recently put freedom fighter Andreas San Diego on their top ten list of domestic terrorists, your stupidity and lunacy is over the top. Andreas isn't a domestic terrorist. Vivisectors like London and others who terrorize, torture, abuse and kill innocent primates are the real terrorists. They're on our top ten domestic terrorist list, so go fuck yourself FBI.
This action was done in solidarity with World Week for Laboratory animals.
Stay safe, go underground.

Furthermore, live bombs near people could be an ALF action given that activists - "take all necessary precautions against harming any animal, human and non-human". For example planting it during the night away from others, or in the day after phoning state services.
Note they only said - "Next time, Abe, the bombs won't be fake and will be placed strategically when and where you least expect them." For example when Abe is not present, or when he is after given full warning for him to escape. If he stays, that would be his fault (and quite suicidal to say the least). For me, that would be taking 'all necessary precautions'.
Also, making threats are in itself taking 'all necessary precautions' (given that you don't follow through with any violence) so is an ALF action - as I guess you are specifically referring to the threat of planting live bombs. It may be hard to understand, but there we go.
Finally, the guidelines are not to 'take all necessary precautions against threatening to harm...' Bottom line - were all precautions taken to prevent harming life, yes. You might consider this 'picking apart' the guidelines; I see it as using them to the best advantage...

Really? 'Cause I don't think it is. You could never be sure that that building didn't have people in or around it. Even at night, what about security? What if you decide to but it near the back door and someone happens to go and have piss near it just before it goes off? If you smash up a building you know that the damage is against property, you know how much damage is being done, it's targeted and you can make sure no one gets hurt. Putting down bombs and then leaving means you have no control over it what so ever. If you put it down during the day and intend to wait til night to set it off you don't know if there's going to be a massive cock up and it go off when the place is packed. That's just not acceptable. That bullshit logic that you can use un-targeted bombs in a civilian area if you just warn that it might happen at some point sounds like something a government would come up with, not supposedly compassionate people.

If you're going to pick them apart and warp them to suit your own needs then you may as well not bother having them, in which case this should not be done in the name of the ALF. If people want to blow shit up without any regard for anyone's safety then make up a new a banner under which to do so.
