Alternatively, if you do not live near an HLS customer, why not protest at a shareholder or supplier?

Whats the point

Will this week of action be as ineffective as that electronic online protest you attempted which did not work?

Your numbers are dwindling.

No, it will be as effective as all the targets that have pulled out since NETCU supposedly “shut down” SHAC. SHAC works well on actions of small groups.

P.S. Anyone know what has happened to PC Mark Bacon 1222 haven't seen him around for a long-time, has he quit?

Laughable

23.08.2009 18:55

Uh huh that's nice, knock off a few shareholders and make Bakers buyout a little easier and less complicated.

HLS is never going to close the sooner you realise that the better, for all wants and purposes it's effectively a nationalised company. The government (UK & US) realises the importance of HLS and will never allow it to fail, you can knock off as many customers as you like but don't deceive yourselves into thinking that you'll see a happy ending, the government will bailout HLS with tax payers money just like it plugged massive wads of cash into Oxford to make sure its testing lab went ahead.

Still if your protesting where the police can film you it keeps you from vandalising dead peoples graves for a couple of house.

Oh HLS will close and the Baker buy out is based on not losing customers. The govt. can stop it falling and the public are fed up with bail outs after the bankers. This place is closing down.

And if you lot are watching us on demos you are not out killing people at the G20. We don't have a body count, you do!

Yes I'm still around

The only reason you don't have a body count is because we've been putting people like you behind bars, don't play innocent and try to trick the readers. You think your 'ALF' arsons and assaults are just a bit of fun? One day someone's going to die, and in all likelihood that person is going to be a fire officer attending one of the blazes you lot deliberately started.

You think the government wont bail them out? You have less common sense than I originally thought. Would've thought that you'd have dug a little deeper by now... disappointing to say the least.

Anyway we'll be catching up with some of you a lot sooner than you might think. There's a handful of you that wont be spending Christmas outside a cell this year. Forcing companies to cut contracts is a criminal offence these days didn't you know?

PC Bacon's real identity

24.08.2009 03:21

"PC Bacon" is in fact a private security company who has been paid to spread dis-information. What "PC Bacon" is trying to do is scare potential demonstrators away from demonstrating. There is only one reason why "PC Bacon" has to do this ...because NETCU funding has been screwed over by ACPO and NPOIU has had it's efforts redirected towards other Green campaigners and anti-arms groups like SmashEDO. (The arms industry pulls more weight that the pharmaceuticals and so police are being focussed where the money is).

This "PC Bacon" in reality is a company who is being paid quite a bit by companies such as HLS to spread dis-info. Funny thing is that these dis-info campaigns aren't working as they are more transparent than cling film. In fact all that is happening is the costs of these dis-info campaign are taking money out of the vivisectors and so reducing the profits they make from abusing animals.

The real PC Bacon has moved on to another team. He got fed up of the mountain of work h was expected to do and the little support he got. He also threw his toys out of the pram when several overs from NETCU got to go on a trip to the US and he didn't, this was one of the reasons he started looking for other areas to work.

I don't know why

24.08.2009 09:42

I am joining in with this and feeding the troll, but you have rather set yourself up haven't you.

Firstly SHAC has sought legal advice on the government bailing HLS out with cash, and have been assured this cannot happen so you can stop waffling on about that.

I suggest anyone who doubts HLS can close or that we are having a massive impact reads the Plymouth Report. Basically, HLS' financials are so bad that they have been forced into being bought out by their CEO Andrew Baker. This means they will not be on any stock exchange, and they will be adding $100 million dollars to their debt. It is the last thing they want to do, but it is also their only choice. It is a very short term solution to a dire financial situation.

As part of this deal, the board of HLS had to investigate alternative options and consider the fairness of the deal (considering Baker has offered to buy all the shares for $8.5 each, when many holders purchased them for $40). There are three class action lawsuits against HLS already from shareholders.

As part of this process they had to employ an independent financial company (Plymouth Partners) who reviewed HLS' financial situation. They found that if HLS continue as they are they will almost certainly go bankrupt. They are basically waiting for the phone call from the NYSE delisting them, they have missed all their 2009 loan repayments, and throughout 2008 only managed to pay back the interest. 2009 profits are massively down due to AR. Plymouth Partners compared them to their contemporaries and found HSL to be down about 33% whilst Covance (who have only really been affected by the recession) were down just 6%.

HLS contacted 50 companies to ask if they would be interested in a business deal with them, they did not say what the deal involved. These companies were CRO's, financial companies, pharma companies and others. Of these 50 only 8 replied. When they were told it was a proposed buyout of HLS, 4 dropped out. 2 more dropped out due to animal rights concerns (these were both financial companies). This left one mid-sized CRO and Baker, who were both offering $7.5 a share. The board at HLS decided they wanted more so asked both if they would increase their offer. The CRO said no, Baker said $8.5. Since then HLS have tried to get the CRO to increase their offer, but all their communications have been ignored!

HLS are screwed, pure and simple. If their loans are repealed or they lose a few customers then they go bankrupt.

If you don't believe me, read the Plymouth report. If you have any genuine questions I will endeavour to answer them. If you are a troll and post you petty tantrums I will ignore you and continue to direct you to the report.

This is blatantly a sarcastic joke!

24.08.2009 16:41

Just listen to him:

"Uh huh that's nice, knock off a few shareholders and make Bakers buyout a little easier and less complicated...HLS is never going to close the sooner you realise that the better, for all wants and purposes it's effectively a nationalised company."

Knocking off 15 shareholders makes Bakers buyout easier - this person's got to be joking!

HLS is never going to close - yeh and I'm never going to shit again in my life!

This is my favourite one though: HLS is effectively a nationalised company!

Top stuff - keep up the hilarity!!!

What's with the serious replies on here, it's blatantly obvious it's just someone baiting you all for arguments sake. With rather funny consequences I might add.

How does that idiot know PC Bacon's real identity?
I think hes just making all that conspiracy crap up to try and sound cool so we all think hes somekind of Steven Seagal because he omitted any FACTS. Actually, i think his who post is egotistical bullshit and is probably written by someone who has read all the Andy McNab novels.

The previous poster it most likely correct re: the baiting.

Information, for Max

29.08.2009 18:45

Animal Liberationists often have lots of inside information on animal abusers, their tactics and the security they hire. That is one reason why the ALF has been so effective because they have more information on the animal abusers than the animal abusers/police have on them!
