I'm the owner of fragfm and steps have been taken to ensure this does not happen again. Heretic has been suspended pending further investigation and Gill will remain as a DJ but the show has been cancelled all together and will be replaced with something a little more upbeat.

I don't think the problem is how 'upbeat' the show is or isn't, it's the fact that DJ's hold a position of influence. How can you have an openly BNP DJ and still meet your own first guideline?

Are you not aware that the whole purpose of the BNP is to target groups of people? So far FragFM is the only broadcaster I can think of that employees a BNP presenter, do you really want that to be what distinguishes you from the rest?

This story has been written by an enemy of Heretic's who is trying to sully his name.

Heretic was supended after accusations of anti-Semitic comments, however these allegations were made up by another DJ and are FALSE. Furthermore, neither Heretic nor Gill Burg are members of the BNP, and they are most certainly not facisists.

As a regular listener to their show, I can tell you that I never heard any racist comments of any kind on-air, they simply played a good selection of music, a bit of comedy, some competitions with great prizes, and had some phone-ins. That's it

Getting rid of one anti-semitic DJ is obviously a good thing, but still having a racist in place means the station is itself supporting this scum. Now assuming the messaged from Mikee was not posted by someone else, it looks pretty straight forward to me.

Everyone has respected your initial decision to post here so please don't run away now.

I personally don't know anything about your station or your employees but Gill Burg is an unusual name and is a poster on the BNP website. That's not a crime, nobody is attacking your company, but your first response to the initial allegation was lacking and your last reponse is worse than silence.

There are a lot of people who have posted on fascist sites, but by law BNP members cannot be employed in certain professions, like being policemen, for reasons I hope you understand. That isn't the case with DJs, but it really could damage your businesses reputation and it maybe should be the law with media presenters.

So why not discuss it here? Better yet, why don't you ask Gill Burg to argue his case here? I worked with one young guy who was ostracised as a fascist once, simply for being stupid enough to repeat BNP propaganda at work, and after an few hours of open, non-judgemental argument he was able to shed his misconceptions and return to the fold. Lot's of people who were on the BNP membership list came here to argue their case, and none of them were physically attacked - the hardcore antifascists have far more important fascists to highlight and wouldn't make a martyr of any genuine young fool.

A quick search on google or yahoo will bring up a load of their facist nationalist nonsense. Distance yourself from this man / woman if you are really not facist. Just look at some of his drivel and admissions of support for the BNP from around the net and then tell us he (and as a result YOUR company aren't supporting BNP either directly or indirectly)

Enter the debate with us, not walk away like a coward. We are a multi cultural society and if you had any business savvy you would not isolate your customers and consumers by supporting the BNP, National Front or other far-right party or allowing DJs with such views.

We're a gaming station. We provide music to people who are gaming. There is no need to bring political debates into this and to even give the show a nod was a bad mistake.

I was not running away from the question, I was simply inviting you all to email as I did not intend to come back on here.

He is openly BNP and for the meanwhile, aslong as he keeps himself to himself he'll remain a DJ. We will be having a management discussion in length about the whole matter.
