Also very telling is the last paragraph of the report.

So we are being softened up for a huge delay in the CPS decision on this case, most likely kicking it into the long grass and leaving it for the next government to deal with.
How do the BBC know the decision will take some time? Did they ask why? How long do CPS decisions usually take?
