DEPARTMENT STORES PAINTED RED (Canada)

reported anonymously:

"On the night of Sunday Dec 6th, two Winners clothing stores in the Vancouver area had their front entrances painted red to symbolize the blood of animals dying for their cheap fur trimmed coats. Even after public outcry Winners continues to sell cheap Chinese made clothing trimmed with the fur of dogs, rabbit, fox and mink.
Animals raised on fur farms in China live in horrific conditions, they are routinely skinned alive and dismembered while fully conscious, go here to view animals being skinned alive, the very same species of dog being sold in Winners stores!
A message to WINNERS, STOP SELLING FUR or this will continue getting worse for you! Over $20 000 of Winners jackets have allready been sabotaged, your storefronts are covered with blood, GET RID OF THE FUR because we are not going to back down!!!!"

NOISE BOMBS AT THE DUTCH EMBASSY (Chile)

anonymous communique (translation):

"On the evening of Wednesday, December 2nd we wanted to make a gesture of solidarity with the 'international call for action for the release of activists imprisoned in the Netherlands.'
Our action consisted of putting three noise bombs in the building housing the Dutch embassy in Chile, located on Apoquindo street, in Las Condes.

One of the imprisoned comrades in the Netherlands was arrested on October 29 and the other on November 17; both are accused of releasing about 5,000 mink from a fur farm and for substantial damage to the extermination center.
With this action we take the opportunity to send them much strength and affection, because in the struggle against speciesism, they are not alone.

With the explosions carried out last night we also shook the false peace of one of the most affluent suburbs of Santiago, where many of those responsible for exploitation (in all its forms) sleep.
The loud noise of the bombs was heard more than 3 blocks around which left no one unaffected.

To fight until the freedom of all prisoners is achieved!
The actions will continue ...

For human, animal and earth liberation, now!

Dieren Bevrijdings Front
(Frente de Liberación Animal in Dutch)"

SABOTAGE AT HOME OF HUNTER AND COAL MINE PROPONENT (UK)

reported on Earth First! Action Reports:

"In the early hours of Sunday 29th November a group of autonomous activists caused embarrassment to Lord Home, exposing his role in the proposed development of Mainshill Woods into an open cast coal mine. This action was taken by a group of autonomous people in solidarity with all those who oppose the development of Mainshill Wood into an open cast coal mine.

Lord Home was entertaining friends at his country mansion, almost certainly before a day of grouse shooting. In the dead of night, the activists deflated tyres on all of the posh cars outside the house, put superglue on the windscreens and left a sign on Home's lawn saying 'No Open Cast'. The car presumed to belong to Home's housekeeper was left untouched.

Actions such as these are not mindless acts of vandalism but designed to embarass Lord Home into having to explain his blind pursuit of profit and neglect of community interest to his cronies. As well as drawing attention to the fight to stop the open casting of Mainshill, the action may conveniently also have put some of Home's mateys off going grouse shooting again."
