You're right it wasn't the police who beat up the University 'rector'. In fact nobody beat him in any way. Unless you think that an elderly man can walk out of a University after suffering a beating by group of youths (mind you i'm sure the vast amounts of tear gas may have exacerbated his well documented heart condition) . There are pictures out which triumphantly disprove his and the general media claims of an attack, as there are videos out which forced the media to retract their claims that a police officer who ran into a protester with his motorbike did so only due to losing control of the vehicle whilst under attack from other demonstrators. Maybe a bit more research is required next time before you regurgitate establishment spin.
