Protest the Pope

Protest the Pope | 20.03.2010 21:33 | Gender | Repression | Social Struggles

A demonstration against the cover up of sexual abuse by the Catholic Church is being organised for Sunday 28 March in central London.

The diverse groups who support this campaign have many different reasons for not approving of the State Visit to the UK by the Pope in September 2010. They all however share the following view:

* That the Pope, as a citizen of Europe and the leader of a religion with many adherents in the UK, is of course free to enter and tour our country.
* However, as well as a religious leader, the Pope is a head of state and the state and organisation of which he is head has been responsible for:
1. opposing the distribution of condoms and so increasing large families in poor countries and the spread of AIDS
2. promoting segregated education
3. denying abortion to even the most vulnerable women
4. opposing equal rights for lesbians, gay, bisexual and transgender people
5. failing to address the many cases of abuse of children within its own organisation.
6. rehabilitating the holocaust denier bishop Richard Williamson and the appeaser of Hitler, the war-time Pope, Pius XII.
* The state of which the Pope is the head has also resisted signing many major human rights treaties and has formed its own treaties (‘concordats’) with many states which negatively affect the human rights of citizens of those states.
* As a head of state, the Pope is an unsuitable guest of the UK government and should not be accorded the honour and recognition of a state visit to our country.

If you believe, as we do, that the Pope should not come to the UK without hearing from the millions of people who reject his harsh, intolerant views and the practices and policies of the Vatican State please get involved.

The 21st Century has and Need to restore the Matriarchy.

21.03.2010 21:27

This pope and the previous pope were war criminals of the first order and seved the axis power during the second world war. Pope John worked in a chemical factory in Poland that produced Cyclon B used in the Nazis death camps, and also took part in delivering those poison gasses. While the present pope was a member of 'Hitler Youth' and later the German Imperialist Army, the same army that destroyedh tens of millions of lives namely socialist, communist, trade union members, and woman's liberation. Both popes during their post war activities did not vote for gender parity in the species which is a necessary move for the liberaiton of the whole specie on the globe. In the world's trade union movement, Gender Parity is a move seen as necessary to the restoration of the worlds equality so cruelly destroyed during the Roman empires sway and on ward through the times and to the present day the natural electing of woman has been suppressed by all empires and is deliberately suppressed under this Pope Biendict. He is reactionary and unjust to say the least, but I do think he is not a suitable person to lead the worlds religions and has bnever voted for Liberation Theology in fact opposed it and that is the restoration of equal electing of woman throughout the church. Liberation theology is the pre-requsite for any truthful return of genuine Christianity, and will herald the return to the harmony and joy that Christ himself felt was needed for genuine liberation. My folks fought against the facists, nazis, and Hitler Youth during the second world war from the Frist Canadian Division, and their orders delivered to the Vatican City was to get the fascist nazis out of the Catholic Church. That order was dilivered to them by my dad Bill. The fact that order has not been followed is an inditement of the Church Heirarchy to this very day and a refusal to recongnize woman's liberation as a necessity to Christs return. In no way did the axis pover allow women to be elected equally, throughout society. Just the fact that this pope refuses Roy Bourgeois's request to allow equal electing throughout the Catholic Church is showing they still belive in male chauvinism as democracy which is still the empires unhappy mold for the worlds women. Not to such a fellow following the orders of the empires and the Male Chauvinism which Germany is still lying to the world is democracy. Fifty-Fifty is natures way of electing our species, that they suppress the better half, and their instincts for creation of life is an ecological organic green power crime against the living world. It is not Christ's position.

Hans
