"Cut the War" - Call-out for Parliament Blockade on Budget Day

The Democracy Village have announced a Street Party to blockade Parliament before and during the Government's "Emergency Budget" this Tuesday.
Chancellor George Osborne is expected to announce "austerity" cuts to public sector jobs and public services, as well as huge tax increases like 20% on VAT and extending VAT to other items like food.
The budget is likely to have far-reaching consequences for the poor and dispossessed as the Government tries to claw back some of the hundreds of billions it gave the banks during the recent financial crisis. It is set to do this without significantly affecting the rich and powerful.
The Democracy Village (set up in Parliament Square on Mayday, and still going from strength to srength more that seven weeks later!) is calling for a day of action against the Budget and against the cuts. It is highlighting the military budget and calling for the cuts to land there first as part of its campaign to bring troops back from the occupation of Afghanistan.
There are several events planned for the day, but the main support they need is for an attempt to blockade Parliament prior to the Budget speech which has now been pulled back to 12.30 from its original time of 2pm.
People are asked to join the Villagers in the Square by 12 noon in preparation for a Street Party and other events.
Obviously plans will have to be fluid, depending on police presence and response, so it may be better to mingle nearby and move in as chances arise to take part in joyous chaos and non-violent direct action against the Budget.
