Day Four of Five Day Peace Walk to Colchester

Peace campaigners complete longest leg of five-day walk to support war resisters and to oppose Afghan war.
At 8.30pm, after eleven and a half hours of walking, campaigners completed the fourth day of The Trail of Tears for Afghanistan: A Path of Resistance from London to Colchester. Estimates varied as to the length of the day's walk from Chelmsford to Tolleshunt Knights, Essex, but they all hovered around the 20 mile mark.
Malcolm Pittock, 80, has led the walk in support of soldier Joe Glenton, imprisoned in Colchester Military Correction Training Centre for refusing to fight in Afghanistan. At the time of writing, 8.55pm, he was predicted to be 20 minutes away from arriving at Tolleshunt Knights.
"I'm rubbish with adjectives but it was inspiring to be joining the walk on a day when the tide may be turning and activists [in the EDO Decommisioners case] seem able to find justice in an unjust system," said Pete at the finish line.
