Political Descent Poll

terratech | 19.10.2010 21:41 | Public sector cuts | Social Struggles | World

Just how far would you go? Is the criminal damage done to Nottingham County Hall ever justified, let us know what your opinion is in this Poll!

Damage to County Hall
Damage to County Hall

Is committing Criminal Damage an appropriate means of showing political descent?

Militants attacked Nottinghamshire County Hall in West Bridgford. "Fuck austerity!" and "Fight the cuts!" were painted on walls and £10,000 of damage was done to windows. (Look to forum for full story).

Vote Here in Our Poll.

...dissent?

No

Criminal damage is not justified because we'll just paying to get it fixed anyway (well the people who work and pay tax are).

As a tax payer, when i see this shit, I tend to vote for the party who promise to come down tough on crime. Why shouldn't I? I've just paid my share of tax and then see it get spent on some rabbles jolly.

If there wasn't any criminal damage then I wouldn't be thinking that way.

So..........no support from me

Dear Assholes

The party that is tough on crime is not the party that will be cutting half a million jobs. Many of those jobs are going to be Police jobs. So you can vote for the party that claims to be tough on crime. Which is the same as voting for the party that is making rent-a-cops unnaccountable to the public.

Stop trolling and start actually engaging your brain.

Poll Vote to Date

20.10.2010 15:05

The vote up till today shows that public opinion is bucking the trend of the more conservative view which condemns such political actions.

55.6% agree that this acceptable behaviour.

33.3% argue that it is Very Necessary.

And only 11.1% have disagreed to `Criminal Damage being an appropriate means of showing Dissent`.

Now who would believe this and does it herald in a new wave of groups willing to go to the extreme? Please be aware the Poll is still open and this might yet go the other way. Please visit us and make your opinion known.

Submission of polls by the public is available on approval (obviously to stop spammers) and you do not have to leave any identifying information (non is kept).

whose opinion?

so presumably this is a randomly-selected, representative cross-section of the population responding to your poll?

online polls are a complete waste of time

21.10.2010 13:04

1) excellent to whoever did the graffiti - the more criminal damage against the rich and the government the better.

2) please can an admin correct the spelling from "Descent" to Dissent"?

3) all online polls are a complete waste of time - their only purpose is to drive traffic to the site that has them. They are so easily manipulated and unrepresentative your best bet is to totally ignore them, Or even vote for the opposite of what you really believe, just to make the figures look the nonsense they are. Promoting online polls is really a form of spamming.

If applied to the population of the UK

21.10.2010 19:22

As people interest is spiked, the spread of the poll has now widened with equal agreement given to “Criminal Damage being an appropriate means of showing Dissent “. Still lagging behind has been the voice of that conservative minority, vehemently opposed to even asking the question except under the strictest of controls (which would probably need the employment of a consultancy agency).

If we applied these figures to the present population of the UK we would have `ONE ANGRY MOB`, except for `anon` whose support for the action has only registered as spamming issue. His confusion has prompted us to reply to his Sinicism about promoting good causes, except his own which seems to rely basically asking people to spam the website concerned.

Along with the Polls is included the ability to comment on them. There are already two on this Poll, so we invite guests to the website not only to comment here but also elsewhere on the site and fair consideration will be given to publishing them all (moderation in affect due to spamming).

personal oppinion

Surely if you are against the cuts, you are for the government, as the central provider of jobs and controller of one single "society". If that is the case, you should not be damaging your governments property.

Personally, I am for the cuts, against the government and for criminal damage to governments stolen property;-)
