German anti-nuclear activists to cripple railway

By Diet Simon | 21.10.2010 03:31

German anti-nuclear activists will try to sabotage a railway line to stop nuclear waste being transported from the Normandy coast of France to a village of 600 people between Hamburg and Hanover in central-north Germany.

A consignment of about a dozen caskets for the transportation and storage of nuclear waste, CASTOR for short, is expected in Gorleben between 5 and 7 November, although the schedule is officially secret.

Same old tedious story every year

21.10.2010 03:46

This nuclear waste from German power stations travels from Germany to France to be processed, i.e. made safer, then comes back to Germany. These muppets never try to stop it on the way out - why is that?

diet Simon - are you an idiot?

21.10.2010 08:05

when it happens, then's it's news. reporting that it's going to happen is like helping the state with it's surveillance activity. Therefore, you r abit of an idiot to be posting this out here and before the horse has bolted.

This is a mass action meaning it is publicised in advance, much like the crude awakening was, much like the climate swoop was, much like smash edo is. In fact I have been looking for details for a while as I had heard it's happening (yes I'd heard by word of mouth so you can guarantee the police have too) but was having difficulty finding them not speaking german, so this post has been very useful.

Thank you diet simon.

Every year?

21.10.2010 11:10

Nimby-watch is not watching too well. These shipments take place every two years, not every year.

If nothing else the protests raise the cost of making the shipment. This is a good way of discouraging politicians from making the mistake of using nuclear power in the future. Politicians don't listen to well argued reports, sadly, they only listen to money.

No a very serious attempt

If you want to disable a railway, don't tell everybody about it.
Just take a podger to the fish plates and let the traffic do the rest.

And if you don't know what that means, then stay well away from railways, they are very dangerous places for children.

Can't really be done can it?

Jesus.... get a grip.
And what happens when you kill 20+ people dickhead?
You need to take a long look in the mirror and get out more. Fucking freak
No wonder so many people despise anarchists. Happy to kill people to make a point like those greek bankers. It wasnt the banks fault - it was the person who deliberately burnt the building who killed them. Cause and effect. Light a building - you'll stand good chance of killing someone.
Meddle with a railway, you stand a good chance of killing someone (and going to prison for a long time rightfully so, to protect the public from your dangerous actions)

To solve this crisis Marxism provides Answers.

Mainly the workers must take over the means of production and end aggressive wars as pollution of the ecological green balances of life on the planet. That means electrifying the railways of the world to the renewables that transform to electricity, such as wind, tidal, and solar power. That means quitting the industrial revolution motivated by coal, gas, oil, and atomic energy. The quick fix doesn't work. The whole system and society must make the biggest change in herstory ever. A planned society guided by the workers best intelligence, so the society doesn't implode or explode but becomes environmentally friendly.
