BBC close Jody McIntyre blog

The BBC have a problem. Their attempt to blacken Jody McIntyre with an aggressive interview

It has generated thousands of complaints. The BBC has tried to fob anyone who complains off by directing them to the blog at http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2010/12/interview_with_jody_mcintyre.html where a manager claims this is all the fault of "a web campaign".
The BBC have refused to make any more comment. That hasn't gone down too well either. Almost all comments were negative.
They are now trying to stop discussion by closing the blog, "This entry is now closed for comments".
Good job the mass media are becoming increasingly irrelevant and the likes of Indymedia taking over.

but I have the utmost respect for you, constantly bringing interview around to issues beyond your self, such as Palestine, or other victims of their brutality, its inspiring stuff.
The student protests have been inspiring for a number of reasons. a key thing has been to finally see large numbers of people in Britain fighting back for something more than their immediate self interest.
jody if your reading this keep your formidable sense of solidarity brother.
whatever you do don't let the media or the idiot bits of the Left that equate media coverage with success turn this into a discussion about whether the filth were any more out of order to you than any one else they are shit to all of our class all of the time.
I'm inspired that you don't place their horrific abuse of you in a different context to the abuse of any other human being. I take my balaclava off to you.
The media vultures and the idiots who'd like to feed them are crowding round you now im sure, stay strong new friend and don't allow them to individualise our struggle.
