Libya, European Union and Europe’s left…

Beno Klee | 21.02.2011 20:01 | Analysis | Repression

When, faced with crimes against humanity, you don't pass beyond the level of declarations, you make yourself accomplice of the crime...

Today, the European Union issued a declaration on the uprisal in Libya; You can read it here :
 http://www.consilium.europa.eu/uedocs/cms_data/docs/pressdata/en/cfsp/119397.pdf

It is diplomatic language, which translated means : we are worried, but we won’t bother you. When you don't bother a mass murderer, you make yourself accomplice !

Faced with crimes against humanity, only highest degree diplomatic actions (economic sanctions, travel restrictions, confiscation of airplanes, blocking of bank accounts,etc...) make sense and even military intervention is permitted.

With this declaration, in other words, the European Union makes itself accomplice of the mass culling that is going on in Libya .

Europe's stand towards Khadaffi should not come as a surprise., since the European Union and many of it's businessmen closely cooperated with the mass murderer Khadafi.

More of a surprise is the relative silence of Europe's left. Apart from declarations of solidarity from some unions, organisations and individuals, nothing is moving. Even radical left is more busy with it's own, at this moment relative small fights.

The situation is very comparable to what happened during the Egyption uprisal, a few weeks ago. Most demonstrations of solidarity hardly gathered more than a few hundred protesters. Shame...

It is a complete lack of sense of the historical moment, and lack of sense of own involvment in what is going on in the Mid-East. At historical important moments, you have to put your own at that moment relative small fights aside, and come on to the street. Organise protests, sit-ins, strikes, etc....

Targets here are our own governments, the European Union, and Corporations working together with the Libyan regime. They have to be forced to take meaningful diplomatic action, and eventually to shoot the airplanes down that target their own people !

When you don't do that, you make yourself accomplice..

Beno Klee.

* In diplomacy you have 3 levels of action : level 1 are the declarations, which mean in human language; no matter how clear and to the point they are made : we are bothered, but we will not bother you. Level 2 is the cool of or the freezing of diplomatic relations, which mean in human language : we are angry, but we will not bother you. Degree 3 are the economic and personal sanctions, which mean in human language : you have gone to far, you have to pull back. The latter is the only one that has real political impact.

Beno Klee

Death to tyranny

Where could the Guardian~istas go if they were exiled?

 http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/feb/21/muammar-gaddafi-exile-options

This is a post in praise of Al Jazeera for providing the only realistic coverage of the recent revolts in English. It is in response to the Guardian article 'Where could Colonel Muammar Gaddafi go if he were exiled?', which points out even the home of Idi Amin would not host this Nazi. A more local question is when the revolution comes here, where will the Guardian/MI5 agents go to? Where will the BBC/MI5 scum go to? Where will the Indymedia/MI5 scum go to? Well, like Mark Kennedy and numerous dictators and agents they wll go to the US, but one day even the US will not be a safe haven for informers and infiltrators. One day democracy will come, even to the USA.

On the face of it Quater should be fearful, yet not only in the middle east their news channel has provided the only decent coverage of the rebellions there, whbile British media includng this one have spun like an empty washing machine. Criticism of Qater and Al Jazeera is necessary, but for now examine the other news sources available to us.
The BBC news an open branch of the state, and it's lies, distractions and misdirection should be obvious to anyone who has read Orwell. The Guardian is an extension of that, dribbling truths to you in a safe way. Indymedia is now an extension of that, although because of their complicity in grassing up dissidents directly it is much worse. You don't read the truth here anymore, you read what is permitted to be read. Too many IMCistas are paid to regulate this place including the Indymedia M'Aider (Help Me!) crew. This has become a place to grass yourself up, to self-promote 'safe' rebels while disrupting real protest. It is a slightly less genuine version of the Guardian 'Comment is Free', which is a slightly less honest version of the 'Crimestoppers' website. Authorised public school protest dressed up as dissent.

I have been documenting ten years of betrayal and complicity by undercover state and corporate agents masquerading as activists, some of them active here, and I have to ask you, where do you think you are going to flee to? Soon there won't be any safe havens and you will be made to suffer in proportion to the way you made us suffer. While William Hague may pretend Gaddafi flew to Venezuala, there is a reckoning coming to him and many of you. You had time to repent but you didn't.

Death to the tyrannts, and death to the tyrannt's minions.

Latuff como carne de canhao do Tio Sam
Janete 24/02/2011 12:58
