Again, the Radio Ñomndaa is wake: the threat now comes from the army. Some soldiers of the mexican army arrived at the pueblo of Suljaa' (Xochistlahuaca) today morning, and started asking people for the location of Radio Ñomndaa.
When asked for the reasons of their comming, after many tries, they said that they where looking for the pueblo exits to the mountains, but we know that this could no be the real reason. So, supporters of the radio joined to defend it and monitor the army actions.
We know that there's a policy to repress and dismantle radios by the federal government, using the army and police forces for it. But the radio is of the people and serves to its interests, the exact opossite of what does the army.
This radio has already been attacked in 2008, by the AFI forces, a kind of militarized police of México, but it came back to air in a short time.
At the moment, there was no try of taken of the radio or of its equipments, but the people are alert, looking for the movements of the army and prepared to defend this radio, which is a radio that really serves to the indigenous people of nancue ñomndaa (amuzgos) interests.
