Following on from the explosion at the nuclear waste processing facility at Marcoule, France this week and the insistent reports of 'there was no leak' while setting up an exclusion zone around the plant 'just in case', independent measurements have found an increase in radioactivity 10 times normal and detections as far away as 120km.

On the same day it has been reported that TEPCO has given up on the 'clean up' machinery supplied by the french state owned AREVA as it was found to make the water it was supposed to be cleaning, even worse than what it was before!

The waste water from the stricken Fukushima plant that had been previously treated and reduced to several hundred becquerels / cubic cm by a Kurion system was then passed through an AREVA system which then managed to multiply that water back up to several hundred thousand becquerels / cubic cm, yes thats 1000 times more radioactive than when it entered the failing AREVA machinery. A sobering thought considering that, these are the monkeys who will be entrusted with building the new nuke station at Hinkley as well as several others.

Finally, it has also been exposed that TEPCO have been making illicit payments to the communities around the fooked Fukushima plant. As much as 40 Billion Yen over a 20 yr period.

Maybe now is the time to investigate as to whether there are any underhand payments being directed from AREVA in to the coffers of the west country with regards to Hinkley planning applications.
