VEGAN EXTRAVAGANZA RETURNS TO WOLVERHAMPTON WITH MORE ATTRACTIONS THAN EVER BEFORE!!

One of the biggest vegan festivals in the UK returns to Wolverhampton on Saturday 29th October 2011 and looks set to knock the spots off last year's event!!

The West Midlands Vegan Festival will offer all you need for healthy, cruelty-free, eco-friendly living. You don't have to be vegan to attend, everyone is welcome! Come and see why people are increasingly adopting a vegan lifestyle.

WHY VEGAN?

There are many reasons for going vegan - just as there are for going vegetarian. Being vegetarian helps enormously in reducing:

--> animal suffering
--> environmental damage
--> hunger in the developing world
--> risks to our own health

Veganism takes all those advantages a whole lot further. For very many people concerned about any or all of these problems, it seems the natural step to take from vegetarianism.

MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

There'll be over 80 stalls offering a huge range of goodies, including cosmetics, chocolate, clothing, healthfood, books, gifts and lots of free recipes, nutritional factsheets, health magazines etc. Also a feast of food served up by the best vegan caterers from across the UK, 5 mouth-watering cookery demos, 12 interesting & inspiring talks, kids activities, an all vegan bar, an action packed line up of live entertainment from start to finish AND an After Party till midnight!!

There will be free food samples galore, special offers on many stalls and a free goodie bag for the first 200 visitors through the door!

There'll also be a press-up contest; a speed meeting session; the Vegan Society Awards 2011 will be announced/presented on stage; and what we believe to be a first for the UK, a Best Vegan Cupcake Competition!!

This is the fourth year the event has been staged in Wolverhampton and it gets bigger every year. In 2010 the Wolves Civic was packed out from start to finish with 1,500 visitors through the day!

Whether you want to try a new pair of non-leather shoes before you buy them, gorge yourself on the fantastic animal-friendly feast, learn how to be a healthy vegan, buy cruelty-free gifts for Xmas or chill out with friends enjoying the finest organic, vegan beer whilst listening to some great performers - you can do it all at the West Midlands Vegan Festival.

No other vegan event north of London has ever had so many great attractions. This is truly exciting stuff and you can be there for just £1 admission! (under 16's free)

From 11am-5pm at the Wolves Civic, North Street, Wolverhampton.
After Party from 7.30pm - midnight at The Clarendon Hotel, Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton.

For many more details of all of the attractions at this event, please check out the website www.midlandsveganfestival.org.uk and you can follow updates on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace etc.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!

Leaflets & Posters - please help to distribute some!

21.09.2011 13:51

We have printed 20,000 vibrant, full colour leaflets(size A6) and 1,000 posters(A4) and we need lots of help to distribute them!

Just like the Bristol and London Vegan Festivals, the WMVF attracts visitors from across the UK and beyond! We need help to display leaflets in health food shops, cafes, libraries, community centres, colleges etc and for posters to be displayed on noticeboards, shop windows etc.

If you're able to distribute/display some, we can post some to you, so please contact us stating the number you require and your address. Alternatively, you can download the leaflet, which can be printed out up to A4 size for posters. Please copy and distribute as many as you can.
