Where will this take us...?

16.10.2011 00:31

On the movement of squares and the more militant factions within it:

'...Between the plaza and the riot, between the most saccharine affirmation and the blackest negation – this is where we find ourselves. Two paths open for us: each one, in its way, a deflection from the burning heart of matter. On the one hand, the endless process of deliberation that must finally, in its narrowing down to a common denominator, arrive at the only single demand possible: a demand for what already is, a demand for the status quo. On the other hand, the desire that has no object, that finds nothing in the world which answers its cry of annihilation.

One fire dies out because it extinguishes its own fuel source. The other because it can find no fuel, no oxygen. In both cases, what is missing is a concrete movement toward the satisfaction of needs outside of wage and market, money and compulsion. The assembly becomes real, loses its merely theatrical character, once its discourse turns to the satisfaction of needs, once it moves to taking over homes and buildings, expropriating goods and equipment....'

We nust be much more self disciplined& not fall for bait for democractic change

17.10.2011 00:26

looked like police bait vans at the start whilst the others are kept back.j18 1999 at@ start during recent student demonstrations more than once police sent in vans to bait peaceful crowds, in London even ITN news pointed out a van abondoned way before trouble.Agent Provocatuers will be rejoicing, whilst anarchos& police lick wounds. If kettling doesnt work send in the vans, if the Gold commander wont crush the demonstration then the plutocrats ramp up their agent provocatuers. Plutocrats get the images they want& black blocs+poors anger is vented temporarily. We must be much more self disciplined & not fall for the bait if we are to have change, viva direct democracia. Successful revolutions take over democratically& assert themselves, they dont smash up anything, even banks, drill the locks out & occupy the bank, dont smash it & then go back to your job if you really want revolution& involve yourself with parties & groups promoting direct democracy which is obviously done by constitution when successful.
