Occupy London stock exchange camp facing eviction from St Pauls grounds

Occupy London camper | 29.11.2011 12:43

The occupy the London stock exchange camp is facing eviction from the St Paul's Cathedral grounds after the corporation of London applied to the high court for an eviction order. The corporation claim they are acting after numerous complaints of trouble at the camp such as illegal drug use, drunkeness, fights, graffitee and vandalism to church property and general rowdiness.

A full article about complaints against the camp is here:

Time to end the camp

29.11.2011 12:45

The camp has achieved all it can and now's the time to call it a day. Head's held high with the knowledge of victory, the same people who were there will soon be the same people running the country. TOTAL VICTORY

Happy camper

Failed yes, a complete failure, no.

The occupy London site may well have failed in the sense that it has achieved nothing but I was moved by the energy and commitment at the beginning that can with luck be channeled in the future.

By quoting the Daily-hate-mail as a source of news you show..

..your utter niaivety with everything that is happening hence why most assume the "Occupy London" has been a complete waste of time. (except for the careerists)

thanks again for as ever prescribing what everyone is allowed to think and do in such a judgemental way. it's definitely the way forward towards an effective solidarity movement.

The camp can move somewhere else, it will go on and on!

29.11.2011 17:04

The eviction is not really a problem as the whole camp can simply move somewhere else, hopefully next time to somewhere with more room for more tents and bigger marquees. There are loads of suitable places within one mile of the centre of the financial district of London. We will find somewhere else just like we found Finsbury Square. This anti-capitalist camp will go on and on and will still be around during the London olympics next year.

So all these victims of capitalism who earlier had been hidden in the back rooms of religious charities with considerable bonuses for their managers are now hanging out in front of the church museum entrance without overpaid bosses, and the faithful have nothing better to do than complain that what they get to see is a true representation of what capitalism left behind and that the writing on the wall is revealing the anger of the abused? The most unstable people in society are being threatened that they might lose everything at any time on short notice, and the people who like to think of themselves as the most stable people in society are surprised that they live only under the expectation to lose everything at any time on short notice? Humanity is confronted with an evil prohibition of our most beneficial and inspiring plant symbionts, and these who convince themselves that the entire creation was sacred wonder why this makes some turn to toxic substitutes?
