I cycled past just five minutes ago and am posting this from my office, I will be going back down there at lunchtime to see if I can help but if there are others who can get down there now straight away that would help. It looks like they have timed the attack when many of the regular protesters where away from the camp and all empty tents have already been loaded into police vans.

They are erecting a new sort of low level triangular fencing that allows people to walk on the path but not pitch tents presumably to prevent protesters returning.

There is a curious army van parked on the far side of the Square with lots of aerials on top that I think is being used to block mobile phones as none work in the square but quickly 'connect' again when you are about half a mile away. When I go back at lunchtime I will take a photo and post here.
