WORK TILL YOU DROP IS NOT AN OPTION

INTERNATIONAL PAISANISTA | 19.01.2012 21:37

Your heart is pumping out blood and your brain is working. Your cognitive functions are good enough to retain a shitload of meaningless information aimed at preventing any critical thought. You are also alert enough to follow orders, assume the hardness of life with resignation and fill your little spare time with meaningless conversations about fashion, celebrities, “5th gear”, “The X factor” and “Strictly come dancing”.

WORK TILL YOU DROP IS NOT AN OPTION
Your heart is pumping out blood and your brain is working. Your cognitive functions are good enough to retain a shitload of meaningless information aimed at preventing any critical thought. You are also alert enough to follow orders, assume the hardness of life with resignation and fill your little spare time with meaningless conversations about fashion, celebrities, “5th gear”, “The X factor” and “Strictly come dancing”.
It has been conceded to you enough ability to count money and decide what you want to go shopping for provided you have sufficient spending power to do so. Regarding your physical body you have also been granted permission to orderly move along the concrete prisons called cities in which the vast majority of humanity has so far been locked up.
Being born, getting trained and indoctrinated, working in shit, getting fixed by doctors, shrinks and drugs when falling ill or depressed, getting disposed of in one of those human scrape yards known as nursing homes once you reach an old age and finally dying. This is what the state calls a LIFE.
So by using the statistics on the allegedly increase in the average “life” expectancy among Britain’s population as the perfect excuse state and capitalists are poised to make us work longer, prolonging our waged agony for a few more years. To all this every sane person should respond with a resounding and roaring FUCK YOU ALL!!
It happens as well that the time we are actually alive in a QUALITATIVE rather than in a mere QUANTITATIVE AND PHYSIOLOGICAL WAY is when we manage to stay away from the poison of wage slavery the longest we can. We are thus only alive when we are not tied down to the hell of THEIR COMPANIES, THEIR time management, THEIR, factories, THEIR offices; the insufferable bosses.... keep adding what you like.
I am not trying to promote laziness as the alternative to such a state of affairs, to the tyranny of the daily grind. Rather I think that what we all should be doing is to set in motion different alternatives to salary work and preparation for it (University degrees, trainings etc...) based on free, creative and self-organised work, emphasizing self-learning and community share of knowledge.
Life is not just a mere quantification of the years one is expected to last over the face of the Earth but the meaning an epics of our individual as well as collective undertakings. Life is not a matter of chronological time but of how we actually fill that time, how we manage to make the best out of it, how worthy it was in the end our passing through existence.
Thinking that human sense of worthiness can be reduced to the degree of fulfilment we are supposed to feel through wage labour is one of the most delusional lies humanity has ever been made to swallow. It matters very little if a tiny minority of people might claim to feel satisfied with their profession since the vast majority of the population has to make do by badly enduring the penitence of an insufferable underpaid occupation that pays enough to feed the family and pay for the abusive bills. Everybody should know by now that such a situation is deliberately kept like this, that in the end none of us has ever stopped being a slave. Slavery has just refined itself but it never disappeared.
Besides the former wage labour trains us in the worst aspects any human being can possibly display. Through our submission to salary we are taught every single day of our lives how to be dishonest towards ourselves and towards each other, how to be competitive and merciless, how to bitch at other people’s back, how to betray, snitch, be obedient and submissive towards the ones that call the shots in the workplace... Wage labour equals the destruction of any potential greatness, self-respect and capacity for ethical excellence within human beings.
The time has come then to go beyond mere economicist demands. It is time to start walking out not only from the workplaces but also from the ranks of the lefty parties and mainstream trade unions that have played such a great part in spreading the sort of pseudo-militant conformism that has plagued social war here in Britain. You are neither your job nor your wages. You are not the content of your wallet, your car, not even your fucking khakis as an old friend used to say.
The real struggle is not about economy any more. The real problem is the problem of FREEDOM, the problem of rescuing our beings from the mental, behavioural and immoral frames we have been partly forced into and partly willingly accepted to be fitted in at a certain point during the last few decades. Sure, material problems will always be there and will have to be dealt with in the best possible way but they must be regarded as what they really are, a means towards the fulfilment of human potentialities and not an end in themselves. If we still keep the tinniest wee of self-respect and humanity within ourselves all the whining and begging to the state and capital for better wages and (anti)social subsidies must be stopped at once.
There is a SOCIAL WAR going on. Welfare State has never been anything but another tactic played by state and capitalism to turn us into one of their kind, to buy us into their very same mindset, to degenerate us and make us lazy, drunk, individualist, ignorant, stupidly hedonistic and distrustful of our own neighbours... Let us hope it is over once and for all and that it will never come back although everything seems to indicate that eventually the cuts will not just mean the entire dismantling of such a bloody curse for the working population. Our elites know all too well they cannot risk it that much. Even Thatcher had to step back at certain point to keep the playground of this shitty nation in order after the Poll Tax insurrection.
Long life then to this recession that is coming to us as the greatest political blessing of the last 30 years for through it an opportunity is being given to us to re-humanise ourselves, to break the mirage of consumerism and perhaps become a little bit poorer but also to regain our sense of pride, our dignity as human beings.
Let us then put an end to every single employment in this chunk of land called England.
Let us stop worrying about second rate issues and address the main problems once and for all. Economical strain conditions, cuts, etc... are not the cause of anything. If so their lost is just a consequence of our inadequacy as human beings, our cowardice and clumsiness when the moment to fight back comes, a consequence of our oblivion of former generations of freedom and proletarian fighters and their legacy. Any potential success in seizing the material infrastructures taken from us by capitalism will ultimately rely upon our capacity to regain certain humanised status, develop the right tactics and lose any fear for the uncertainty of the coming future.

ARE YOU FUCKING RATS OR HUMAN BEINGS?...
DO YOU WANT A LIFE OR JUST THE MISERABLE EXISTENCE OF A FATTENED PIG?...
THE PEACE OF A PIG BEFORE THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE....
YOUR ANSWERS TO THESE CRUCIAL QUESTIONS WILL DETERMINE YOUR REAL APTITUDE FOR THE TOUGH, THRILLING AND EPIC UNDERTAKING OF SOCIAL REVOLUTION.
WHOEVER PREFERS TO BE A SODDING PIG MIGHT AS WELL TO KEEP LIKING THE BOOTS OF DADDY TRADE UNION OR DADDY LEFTY PARTY. REVOLUTION DOES NOT NEED PUSILANIMOUS WANKERS.

“...and let the rest of the world croak.
This is the real advance. Marching orders, let's go!”
(Arthur Rimbaud)
