The London 2012 Olympics will cost well over ten billions pounds in total while savage government are destroying thousands of jobs and services and reducing millions to extreme poverty. We the Occupy movement plan to mobilise hopefully up to 500,000 anti-cuts protesters during the Olympics to protest this disgusting waste of money on an event which will not benefit anyone but the capitalists.

We don't think 500,000 is too many too mobilise as anger against government cut backs is growing rapidly by the day with more and more sectors of the populations taking strike action or demanding an end to savage government cuts. We also have almost four months to plan for it.

Get a job! Seriously - stop wasting your time moaning about the cuts and use that time to get trained up in something useful/sellable, so you can get a job.

Or not..... your choice. But to spend 4 months 'working' on what is essentially Moaning about things is ludicrous. You could do enough work developing a product in 4 months that would sell for millions if you had the wherewithal.

Its a horizontal leadership process where everyone is the leader and all decisions are made via consensus. So yes, nothing will get done due to lack of organisation. They need to put someone is charge and have a bank of lieutenants.

my experience is that most people do support or are at least sympathetic to the aims and activists of the occupy movement.
At the save leyton marsh camp we have seen amazing acts of solidarity and support between occupy campers and the local residents of hackney and waltham forest.

Because it provides a few seconds of amusement to kick the underdog when they are down.
Threat? Really?! Police havnt even used water cannons or rubber bullets yet.
If that doesn't work, then there is the army with firing lines, sniper rifles and armoured vehicles.
If that doesn't combat the 'threat', then there are Apache gunships firing HE 30mm rounds and hellfire missiles. Then of course there is modern weaponary like gas, microwave, laser etc.

Face it: you are outgunned, out manoeuvred and out trained. Whatever threat of force you pose, will be easily defeated. You may think you are hard but you are just amateurs - these boys do it a living.

Do they perhaps worry about all the people who are lurkers on sites like these and mainly use them to inform themselves about issues important to themselves which they do not see on mainstream media?
Do they want to try and put people off actions like these which have broad public support and could help breed a culture of protest?
Do they think that they can help promote horizontal hostility, thus diverting attention from the vertical hostility needed to bring about effective change?
Do they represent vested interests of some sort who want to recruit all resistance to cuts under their banner?

Actually, its all those things combined.

The biggest dollop of it is the traditional 'left' followed by the underperforming 'right'.

The one thing neither can stand is movements that form on their own.

The 'trolls' are actually vanguardist's trying to steer us into malleable conformity i.e they don't like us thinking for ourselves.

I suppose there's scope for playing one off against the other but it only leads to red or blue pill taking in the end.

Having been a long timer here on IMC, the level of trolling is higher now than ever before. Never known it be this concentrated. If an article appears in which they can make capital, the comments come within minutes.

They just don't want IMCUK to become a focus for a movement they cannot influence. The comments are being used to infantilise us and estrange us from our own causes.

And look what is happening in Greece - mass rioting on the streets in the capital city of Athens against austerity cuts. And have you forgotten last years riots in August when tens of thousands of people across the country suddenly rose up?
