UAF Make Themselves Look Stupid

Michael Meriton | 13.11.2012 13:19 | Anti-racism | Migration | Social Struggles | Birmingham

Do the UAF know something the rest of us don't?

Just posted on the UAF website is a leaflet asking people to tactically vote in this Thursday's PCC elections to stop the BNP candidate Simon Darby in Stoke.

 http://uaf.org.uk/2012/11/vote-to-stop-bnp-edl/

Perhaps they know something that the rest of us do not?

Because the last time I checked the BNP are not standing a single candidate in the PCC elections, calling on the public to boycott the elections instead.

Surely an organisation that claims to be the UK's leading antifascist organisation would know a fact like this ?

Perhaps not it seems.

UAF should be using their public support...

13.11.2012 18:28

To urge people to vote for Independents against ANY political parties.

Politicians and MPs should be kept well away from police affairs. They haven't got a clue and will just bend things to suit their parties manifest and beliefs regardless of whether it's what's best for the people.

Vote Independent.

Yes UAF can be weird, but they've organised I believe around 80 anti-EDL demos, whereas more militant anti-fascists have organised exactly how many? I forget...... errr... a couple in Brighton

'Yes UAF can be weird, but they've organised I believe around 80 anti-EDL demos, whereas more militant anti-fascists have organised exactly how many? I forget...... errr... a couple in Brighton.'

militants do not 'organise' demos, they turn up, keep out of the kettles and do their own thing. please pay attention.

@AF

You do realise that the independents will be infantilising authoritarian types too right? *facepalm*

Darren

Fuck AR nationalists

14.11.2012 14:05

Racist animal rights people are in fact few and far between. AR is a decentralised movement that has come under ruthless attack by the state - anyone can pop up on Facebook and 'like' the EDL and SHAC, a situation that no-one can prevent.

All AR groups and sab groups that I have been involved with are also anti-racist and in general line with the rest of our movement e.g feminist, ecological etc.

However in the case of people espousing nationalist views that also happen to be vegan, they are rightfully targetted by anti-fascist groups and should be outright rejected by the AR movement.
