Support Scotmid tenants to reclaim their illegal fees!

Scotmid tenants are holding a demonstration to claim back their illegally charged fees outside the Rettie offices in Edinburgh, on Saturday the 6th of July, 11:30am. They need your support!

With the support of EPTAG, more than a dozen tenants are making a group claim to Rettie – the agency acting on behalf of Scotmid – who have so far ignored the tenants’ requests to be refunded the money. This has left us with no choice but to call a demonstration. We need as many people to come as possible to send a strong message to Rettie that we will not be ignored. Assemble at 11:30am at the Rettie Offices, 1 India Street Edinburgh EH3 6HA, Saturday 6th of July. Victims of illegal tenant fees should contact police

Our campaign has been successful in securing the commitment of the prosecuting authorities to fully investigate any reports of illegal fees brough by tenants.

Police Scotland are standing by to investigate reports of crime, and those who have charged illegal tenant fees face fines of a thousand pounds and a criminal record.

No prosecutions have occurred to date because tenants have not reported these crimes to the police.

After the first criminal conviction, you can bet this practice will stop, so who will be first to report the crime?
