The era of changing yourself

Brian | 28.08.2013 20:56 | Ecology | Globalisation | History

The era of activism has ended. No more cutting fences, no more protests, no more banners and leaflets.

We all know what is wrong with this world. It is our own perception.
This world has been created by the course of events in the history of planet earth.

You can claim that there is a conspiracy.
You can claim that we are not acting responsible towards our planet.
You can claim that other people are insane.

But that insanity, is only a mirror of yourself.
A mirror reflecting your own blindness.

Some people have been blinded or have chosen to be blind. Some people claim others are blind.
They climb the barricades and wear a mask.
Hiding for their own fears.

Their fears are represented by that which is visible at their outside world.
Politicians, their parents, the capitalist system.

But instead of yelling and protesting, they could face their own weaknesses.
Fear of the unknown. Fear of not being in control.
Fear of ignorance of other people.

We are on this world together, and you can only change the world
By changing yourself.
Trying to inspire people, by being creative.
Alternatives.

Act like the birds, build your own house, grow your own food, harvest and filter your own water.
Start to take care of and nurture yourself.

Damp squats, black clothes, skipped food.
What do you deserve. Fear and instilling fear?

Trying to live in tomorrows dream of changing the world?
Or actually changing your life and inspiring others.

Welcome to planet earth, 2013, this is the boat we are in together.
Hold your brothers and sisters in your arms, embrace life, right now.

Brian

my response

It sounds like nonsense - not even new age nonsense. Like a mentality of putting your head in the sand and hoping that the wars will go away by themselves - until the war comes and kills you as well.

No soldiers

29.08.2013 15:48

The wars in their current shape and form will go away if all soldiers stop doing what they do
However, technology will take over.
Do you really think you can stop the machine?

Thinking you can change the machine is a race which keeps you locked for years,
Knowing you can change your own life is true power

And as far as calling something nonsense,
First they ridicule you, then they laugh at you, then they applaud, something like that.
