Fascists meeting Saturday Southend on Sea, Essex

Various fascists including the disgusting Zoe Smith of Casuals United are talking about a "unite the right" meeting in Southend on Sea this Saturday.

EDL have previously met in the Borough hotel in the town so id say this is a good bet for this saturday. They are saying its an evening meet, please spread the word. Check out @zoesmithfashist for confirmation

Why do we fight the EDL?

29.01.2014 23:35

Because even the EDL's own leader Tommy Robinson was forced to leave his own organisation because he couldn't stop pretending it's not infested with Nazis, Sherlock

Do we have people in Southend who can counter this?

I'd love to know how many books they're gonna sell....couldn't help having a wee read and I was not dissapointed in how cringe worthingly bad it really is. Like a 12 year old wannabe football hooligan writing an essay for school.

After a pile of negative reviews, it looks like reviews have been disabled and are no longer displayed.... shame.

There's still the "report this item" option, of course ;)

piss poor

35 at most at yesterdays meeting. more groups than members. they all want to be the leader which is what damaged the EDL so much with local fallouts, egos and coked up shennanigans. EDL at slough clearly hadnt learnt the lessons from walsall. plod is studying footage of them now so they can expect a visit from plod for a cup of tea and a bun.
the far right mobilised about 150 yesterday in slough, unite the right and BNP in wythenshawe.
piss poor.

@watcher

Obviously we could just dismiss you as a fash troll but that would be simplistic. Taking your comment at face value then, anti-fascist mobilisations do not appear out of thin air - they don't happen because somebody posts a comment on Indymedia or Facebook.

So ask yourself what have you done to make sure there's a strong anti-fascist presence in your area? Are you part of a group? Does that group have links with other anti-fascist groups? Does your group travel to support other groups? Are you able to put a leaflet together and distribute it? etc etc
