Verdict Due in THC4MS Trial

ninorc, 14-12-2006 23:27

Three providers of medicinal cannabis to MS sufferers are due to be judged tomorrow in Carlisle, where the jury will be asked to decide if they conspired to break the law or if, in fact they did their best to work within it. The common law defence of medical necessity in cannabis cases was removed after this alleged offence was committed and the changed law is being applied retrospectively. Hardly fair, is it? Countryside Properties- Mayfield...and a field in May 2004...

Save Spodden Valley, 17-08-2006 11:53

Spodden Valley woodland destroyed in May 2004...
Countryside Properties have gone into advertising overdrive with its new housing development at the former Mayfield rugby club in Castleton.

After being criticised for illegal flyposting earlier this year:  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/manchester/2006/03/336159.html

Countryside Properties have now paid Rochdale Council for road signs and half page colour advertisements in the Council's newspaper "Local matters" delivered to every home in the Borough.

There has also been a huge advertising spend by Countryside Properties with the Guardian Media Group in their Homesearch sections of the Rochdale Observer, Manchester Evening News and TV station Channel M.

It is a pity that Countryside Properties' budget doesn't cover the destruction of Woodlands in the Spodden Valley.

Mayfield and a field in May... here is the connection... Read more | 2 comments >>

Anti-Asbestos campaigners to 'go bananas' against Countryside Properties PLC

Save Spodden Valley campaign, 26-07-2006 01:19

Anti-Asbestos campaigners 'go bananas'...
Wednesday 26th July:

Anti-Asbestos campaigners are to ‘go bananas’ this evening outside Rochdale Town Hall from 5.45pm – 6.15pm.

Strict council rules ban placards and banners inside the Town Hall so the campaigners hope to get their point across with Fairtrade soft fruit.

They say the planning system is ‘bananas’ where local council taxpayers have to pay up to £80,000 for a report that heavily criticises the past actions of property speculators who wish to build a £100 million development with a planning fee of just £5500. Read more | 1 comment >>
