CDC refuses to disclose details of infection of cardiac surgery patients
The Fresno Bee is reporting: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued findings of its investigation into the infections of at least 12 cardiac surgery patients at Saint Agnes Medical Center earlier this year, but refused to release them to the public.

Failing Senior Care System Burdening Families
The war is still the number one issue in the U.S. 2008 Elections, but even as we work to bring this war to an end, it is essential that the country look at real solutions rather than illusory for-profit “solutions” to our basic problems: the crisis facing an aging working class, poverty, homelessness, the cost of living, low wages, inflation, the recession, and many other issues on the American agenda of things-to-do.

M V Picton, their home of 14 years, was destroyed. All possessions still remain seized. Accidents, beauty show and legal process aside, the Shalom Family appealed to other Corporate minds, for a ‘blow job’ - to their ‘just cause’.

Simply cutting the ivy off at the bottom with small pruning saw which takes minutes or less, saves the tree+local wildlife & helps stop climate change.
I saved 5 trees in less than 5 minutes today near woodborough park sherwood, you can save hundreds in a hour or so.

It is a slide show broadcast then banned by the US government, depicting graphically the horrors of HIV/AIDs, poverty, homelessness etc. While the twin towers were hit and the US pushes the "War on terror",it reminds us of the many more people who have been killed or affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, homelessness etc and reminds us that solidarity with these p0eple is vital.
