The City of London trembled on Friday as Animal Rights protesters marched its streets in what has been one of the largest Animal Rights turnouts since some unlucky activists got 50 years.

Darius Fullmer co-founded and organized Animal Defense League- New Jersey, organized countless outreach and educational events, organized hundreds of protests against the fur trade, including the Fur-Free New Jersey Tour, as well as the campaign against HLS. He was sentenced to a year in prison as part of the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty 7 case. James interviewed him about his experience in prison, the SHAC campaign model and its implications on the animal liberation movement.

Wells Fargo, who were one of the top 5 institutional investors in LSR (Huntingdon Life Sciences), have sold all their shares and Bank of New York Mellon, which was also one of the top 5 institutional investors, has sold most of their holding in LSR.

This global week of action will focus entirely on Huntingdon Life Sciences' financials - Shareholders, and the NYSE who are the only stock exchange in the world allowing HLS (LSR) to trade shares. The week starts with a day of action against HLS & NYSE shareholders and will end with activists marching in the city of London to protest against the financial institutions that keep HLS killing animals.

On Valentine's day, Feb 14th, activsts descended on DC from places as far away as Baltimore and Philly to protest fur (at stores) and vivisection (HLS home demos). Time was taken out form this to protest the horrific suffering in Gaza-at the HOME of the Israeli Ambassador.

20th Jan - 16th Feb: Animal Liberation Front (ALF) volunteers rescued a dog from abuse in Spain, ALF North Yorkshire liberated hens and sabotaged thousands of eggs and ALF Poland pained HLS customers buildings in the Netherlands. Anonymous activists rescued 16 hens in the Czech Republic, painted HLS customer Bayer in Uruguay and sealed off Andover town center, in Hampshire, following a report of a suspicious package at HLS shareholder Barclays. Furthermore, Berkeley Students for Animal Liberation followed UC Berkeley's Gregory Timmel, the veterinarian in the universities vivisection labs, vandalising his shiny new Audi.

The Big Issue has printed an advert for SHAC. It's good to see support in a magazine bouth by ordinary, good people all the UK and that is sold in a good cause. Please also write to the Big Issue and say thanks....AND write letters pointing out that Big Pharma is contributing to homelessness in Camden with plans for a deadly lab in Camden.

The masters of the universe - those of them who had the nerve to turn up - were mired in deep gloom at Davos in the Swiss Alps last week. Come April in the Watford Gap, representatives of the G20 group of nations may well feel suicidal as the social and economic consequences of the financial disaster deepens and widens.

For the international day of action activists targeted Bayer Cropsciences headoffice in Stockholm, Sweden. About fiftheen activists gathered in front of the main gate to the compound where Bayer is situated. Obviously, the company already knew of our plans and two security guys stood guard in front of the gate. They had to redirect some of the traffic to another lane to get them through the crowd of angry protesters and as workers drove away several gave us the thumbs up.

The industries and individuals responsible for the exploitation of animals in México City and surrounding areas ought to watch their backs and their business. The Frente de Liberación ole México (FLAM) shows no signs of slowing its deliverance streak.

As part of the Day of Action against Bayer, we protested in front of their building. Workers and neighbor companies were informed about what Bayer is related to if they are customers of HLS, a shameful crime against innocent animals in the name of profit. As usual, people were shocked to see those terrible pictures in the placards.

The focus of this day of protest was the major customers of Huntingdon Life Sciences. The companies chosen today support and enable Huntingdon Life Sciences to continue to kill 500 animals per day with their blood money contracts.
