Pictures from August 5th demo (part 1)
This is the first part of my pictorial narrative of what happened on Saturday August 5th, when several thousand people came together in London in outrage at what the tinpot imperialist Israeli government is currently doing to Lebanon.
Cambridge Hiroshima Day Lantern Vigil
"On the morning of August 6, 1945 the United States Army Air Forces dropped the nuclear weapon "Little Boy" on the city of Hiroshima, followed three days later by the detonation of the "Fat Man" bomb over Nagasaki, Japan."
A Weekend of Actions
This weekend saw two days of actions against the madness of Israel bombing Lebanon.

Israeli Bomb Flights in Suffolk
It has emerged that two flights due to touch down at Prestwick on Saturday were diverted to the RAF Mildenhall military base in Suffolk. A third Atlas Air flight was believed to have landed at Prestwick. There has been no official confirmation of what was on board the planes. A spokesman for the US air force at RAF Mildenhall said two aircraft had been diverted from Prestwick. He said the Atlas cargo flights arrived late on Saturday night and would depart on Sunday. He could not comment on what was on board the planes, but said they were there to refuel and allow the crew to rest. Lebanon Actions + Leaflet
Many leaflets have been distributed, many interesting conversations have been had. A banner has been painted and various Cambridge groups have come together to protest and start to organise against the war crimes of our government, the U.S State and Isaeral.

Loose Change Second Edition, a film about the events of Septemer 11th 2001, has become a net phenomenon — it currently (18th May 2006) holds the 1st, 4th and 26th places on the Google Video top 100 and this is in competion with lots of very short titillation clips (eg Webcam Girls Go Wild) and dubious humour clips (eg funny clips baby fart).
Loose Change is the most popular 9/11 "conspiracy theory" film, no doubt due to its slick graphics, soundtrack and editing — for an amateur movie it is impressive.
