Muslim Graves Destroyed by Black Vandalists

In what seems to be a continuation of last month's violent events in Lozells, Birmingham, between 35 and 45 Muslim grave stones have been smashed and pushed over in nearby Handsworth Cemetery.

The desecration was discovered on Friday morning, 4th November, by relatives visiting the Muslim part of the cemetery, as a tradition of the Muslim Eid.

Leaflets, with insults against Muslims, were also scattered. They were attributed to a group calling itself Black Nation. Roughly photocopied, the message seemed to refer to the so-far unsubstantiated rape rumour which led to the riots last month.

The police said the desecration is being treated "as racially aggravated criminal damage." The leaflets have been cleared away and will be forensically examined by the police.

So some one pushed over the graves and some one left leaflets that made it look like a group calling itself Black Nation done it. Divide and rule moves in many strange ways.
Your just repeating what the mainstream / corporate media has reported. It might well have been .. ?

you call yourself anti racist, and yet accuse black people of commiting this crime, when the only evidence is some badly photocopied leaflets.
Have you ever thought some one like the BNP could have done this, after all they have most to gain by stirring up hatred between two ethnic groups that they (the BNP) hate.

No-one seems to have heard of this supposed group 'Black Nation', and there are of course many Black Muslims, so the idea that this vandalism was really the work of a Black group seems pretty unlikely.

This item was covered on Channel 4 News this evening, with a heavy 'blacks dunnit' insinuation.

The interesting thing for me was the news it was juxtaposed with - the arrest of three young muslims (after they'd been held without charge for TWO WEEKS) on terrorism charges with what seemed like very thin evidence - one of em had 'hospital=attack' written on a bit of paper which was presented to the public solemnly as evidence!

And the other item was a bunch of (no doubt unwittingly MI5 aided) white supremacists being sent to prison for expressing their pathetic opinions in magazines. One of em got some extra time for 'distribution of a DVD featuring Skrewdriver'.

If a psy-ops expert had programmed the news today I'd say that 'build up racial tension' was very much on the agenda.

On a lower level, we've got papers like the Daily "Our Friend Chancellor Hitler" Mail subtley ramping up the general atmosphere of racsism and intolerance with their front page headlines about Muslems getting 'Politically Correct' councils to 'ban Xmas' and suchlike... I'm wondering if this is what it felt like in the early days of Nazism in Germany between the wars...

Refererence the recent appalling desecration of Muslim graves in Birmingham and now Strasbourg, I am suspicious that this kind of behaviour is more likely to arise from white extremist groups eager to inflame the situation, given their previous interest in Jewish cemeteries. I may be wrong, but this does not fit what I know of Caribbean culture.

My thoughts are with those affected.
